I had requested a veteran quilt like I normally would do through the Quilts of Valor (QOV) of NV and was told to order, via California (San Diego) QOV, if the person lives in California so I did. I put a quilt request on Dec 2022 and here it is Jun 2023. Normally, I would order it through QOV of Nevada, then veteran gets their quilt to them within 1-2 months; and here, it's been a hassle trying to the California QOV to this quilt to the veteran as I hear he travels but sounded like they've had 1-2 opportunities to do this and it never happened. Here it is Jun 2023 and still this veteran never got his quilt after I made a nice donation for it even though they said it has nothing to do with donating but it was helping with their supplies, etc. I would hope that would help speed up the process to get this quilt to him and still to this day, he hasn't got his quilt. He maybe ok with it but I"m not as I requested it for him. This did not happen like this before. The issue was why they couldn't without me intervening on it every time think to call this veteran weekly to make sure they can give this to him since that's their business to do. I learned they were short of help but thought I heard they were pulling over for extra help so this could happen. I'm very disappointed with how this was handled and this veteran has not gotten his quilt. There's no excuse after putting in for request of quilt on Dec 2022 till Jun 2023 or present to take this long especially the veteran already knew about it for a few months and finally was able to present this to veteran Jun 2023; however, am finding out that after decided to not be a member anymore as I nicely donated to this organization that this organization won't give a veteran who requested quilt time and day on the phone to give me exactly the truth I deserve if it was them or the veteran who received the quilt had misled me as I finally accepted their offer to get the explanation but now they're referring me to go back to the veteran should the veteran be open to me if he wasn't earlier much about it and it hurts when someone I requested quilt for his doing service for his veterans that can cause friction between QOV and I if it was communicated properly in the first place assuming we were friends.
