I wish there was more people out there that believes in the hard work that people like James does. It is wonderful to be able to save horses and find a forever home for them. They all need a second chance. They have feelings just like we do and need to be loved and taken care of.
James does a wonderful job and I am so very proud of all the hard work and dedication he puts into Quick Six Ranch.
You Rock James.
James and his rescue are amazing! There's not enough room to write everything he has done to help save branded Mustangs, burros, and other horses from slaughter. From the brink of death he brought back an emaciated senior mustang mare, not knowing if she would make the trip from the kill pen to his rescue he never gave up. Numerous times we asked for his help and he was always willing. Driving countless hours, witnessing the horror of the kill pen, and then having to drive home with a saddened heart for the ones he couldn't take. He also goes above and beyond to help the owners who need help or accepts the ones the owners can no longer keep. I'm so thankful for James and his rescue. Truly one of the Best!
I have know James all of his life. He has had a love for horses since he was a young boy. It didn't suprise me that this love grew into a passion to rescue as many horses as possible. Each horse receives the love and care they deserve. When a horse comes to the Quick Six Ranch, they are nursed back to health, trained, and kept until their forever home can be found. James and the Quick Six Ranch as also been known to rescue a few donkeys as well.
James received his first horse at the age of 5. He has had a love for animals his whole life. James grew up learning to care for horses. He has shown horses, groomed horses, learned to train horses, helped horses with birthing. From an early age, he learned proper care of these animals. James and his wife Amy run Quick Six Ranch, together they take special care of the horses that they rescue. Every horse they save becomes like a family member to them. They only want the best loving home environment when they place a horse. Quick Six Ranch does not receive any type government help with these horses, all money is from their pockets or donations.
They are such an amazing group! The amount of time and energy they put in to saving mustangs is awe inspiring! They’re an amazing group to work and so helpful with everything. They take these mustangs and spend so much time with them just loving them and showing them that the world isn’t such a bad place. I truly can’t say enough good thangs about this group!!!
I learned about Quick Six Ranch from word of mouth. When I viewed the horses on the facebook page I fell in love with a mustang called Tank. I really was love a first sight. I asked a ton of questions about him to make sure we would fit together well. James was great about answering all of my questions and even talked with my husband and I a lot when they dropped Tank off. He is very knowledgeable about mustangs. Even after the adoption, he has always gotten back to me as new questions pop up. I am very grateful to James and his organization for taking the time to rescue mustangs and find good homes for them. They really are a national treasure.
Quick Six Rescue Ranch is a non profit that I fully support. I have known James for a long time and know he has a true love for all animals but especially horses. It is no surprise that he started this wonderful nonprofit to save horses and donkeys from being unnecessarily slaughtered .He along with his wife Amy spend countless hours caring for and training these beautiful animals getting them ready to find a forever home . This nonprofit is definitely a lifesaver for beautiful horses and donkeys!
James is one of the best people I've had the privilege to know and work with as in being an adopter of a mustang filly. This is a nonprofit that goes above and beyond for not only the horses but the people as well that adopt. He balances work, rescue, his family and does it with grace and style and has the biggest heart. I recently fell on hard times and illness and felt I could not give my mustang what she deserved. Yes I could feed her and care for her but I couldn't put into her what I wanted for her. I contacted the rescue, James, and he not only helped me find her a suitable home but he came hours from his home to get her. I've had the pleasure of knowing him/the rescue for at least 2 years now and I think very highly of everything he does, the rescue and the person he is. Many more people and rescues should pattern themselves after James and his rescue. They are nothing less than amazing and I'll forever be grateful to him and the rescue for what they accomplish. Everyone works together so well and there is an amazing network in this rescue.
I met James a few years ago after offering photography services to anyone that would donate to a local animal shelter. James asked if I would come to his home & photograph his horses, not only for memories to have, but to hopefully bring more awareness to his rescue. I had never met someone so dedicated to helping animals, as James was spending any & all free time he had to help care for the horses at his rescue, but also advocating for horses online that he was not able to help. He has done so much for the horse community, & is always willing to help anyone else in need by spreading the word on social media. His love & passion for rescue is inspiring, & such a wonderful part of our local community.
