Robin IS an Earth Angel! I met Robin, Inger and Debra under what would have been a gut wrenching experience and turned it into the most reassuring FEELS RIGHT kind of moment. Robin saved my cats that were stuck at the shelter. I had to rehome my beloved felines due to severe allergies with one of my children. Gutted. They were not doing well at the shelter and not even up for adoption after a month of sitting in a cage. I called to ask for help and at that time, she said she would make phone calls & she would get back to me that night. True to her word, she got back to me and said she and her husband were going to foster my babies! I cried so hard.
I drove them out to Camarillo to the Purrmaid cafe and was met with the most sweetest kindest cat loving gals you will ever meet! I KNOW my babies are now in the right hands and are going to thrive from here on out! I am forever indebted to the big hearts of Robin and her husband for doing this.
The whole center is a little slice of heaven, You have cute cat decoration galore and then.. and THEN.. the center for them. There are toys, sofas to sit on and relax while you meet your soul cat. It's all so clean and organized. The cats.. they were either sleeping comfortably, relaxing on a throne ringing the bell for waitstaff (haha) or running around and playing. Happy! That's what you want to see. Well cared for and doted on felines just waiting to find their forever home.
Robin, what you do for these little ones makes you an extraordinary gem. Thank you for rescuing and giving these babies a better life & opportunity for people to come in, meet them and take them home.

Whether you are looking to adopt a kitty, or just enjoy their company. Purrmaid Cafe is the best place to go. You can hang out and play with the kitties, while enjoying a hot cup of coffee (or tea) and homemade treats (Robin makes the BEST cookies!) Robin and Jeff are such wonderful, giving people who truly care for the cats. The cafe is a fantastic place to relax and soak up all the feline love. I highly recommend a visit.

Robin and Jeff, owners of Purrmaid Cafe and Adoption Center, are absolutely the most compassionate and loving people. The cafe is a beautiful place to spend time with the cats and get to know them (and hopefully adopt into a forever home). If you have never been, you need to go. And the cats will thank you with their purrs and playful antics. It is a great place to relax, unwind, and shower some kitties with love.
We've adopted 2 cats from the Cafe and are in the process of adopting a 3rd. The cats were delivered to us with toys and food. Any questions I had about their history were answered promptly. Our 'adoption in progress' cat has been ill. Purrmaid is handling the care and vet visits for the cat and providing us with regular updates and pictures. I've never seen a rescue take such amazing care of their animals. I recommend Purrmaid Cafe to anyone looking to adopt a well-adjusted, healthy animal.

We adopted a bonded pair of sisters in June. They are wonderful, friendly cats. Purrmaid provided them with a clean, open environment where they could be free to interact with the other cats and the humans who stopped in to see them as well. There are plenty of toys and places for the cats to climb. They can go through their cat window and be by themselves when they tire of being social. The cats are very well cared for. This is the perfect cat rescue. The owners screen each potential adopter and deliver the cats while doing a home check to be sure their friends are going to a safe and healthy environment.
I have been volunteering for three months now, and it has become a daily fix in my life. I love going there every day to help take care of these kitties and find them amazing homes. If you want to adopt this is the place to go! (or if you just want to cuddle with kitties too!)
This entire adoption cafe is a complete labor of love. The owners are so helpful, honest, genuine, and there at all times. Me adopting Sully was their second adoption after taking over the Cafe. The photo on the left was the day Cat and her husband brought Sully to my home. The one on the right of him alone was a couple of months following. I am in love with my little boy. My experience was supportive, no pressure, making sure first and foremost that it was a good fit for everyone. I highly recommend Purrmaid Cafe. A big 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!
The best place to meet cats... or even just play with them. Although we have a house full of cats, we still visit to just play and meet the kitties. They take such good care of them and it shows. It is a great way to find the right kitty for you. You can visit multiple times to see which cat you connect with. You will be developing a beautiful relationship and supporting a vital community partner.

We have adopted 3 cats from the Cafe. After adopting many animals over my lifetime, this process was by far the best. We were able to visit ALL the cats and see which ones we connected with. We also were able to make multiple visits to build a relationship too. The Cafe is set up so it is comfy for cats and their humans. You can pet, play, and even just sit back and enjoy watching all the kitties.
Even though our home is full now (although I keep thinking "maybe 1 more"), we still love visiting the cafe. It is a great place to go to relax when feeling anxious or stressed. Animals are amazing "therapists." It is also just nice to follow up on all the kitties and meet them. I like to see on Instagram which ones get adopted or even just see the fun pictures. (TIP: follow them, it will make you smile! @purrmaidcafeandadoptioncenter)
If you are thinking of adopting.... or even if you aren't but just love cats, please visit Purrmaid. They truly put their hearts into everything they do. It is a wonderful place.
Robin and those who run this nonprofit are Earth angels in my opinion. You can tell how much they care for the cats and when I visited I was so happy to see such happy, healthy cats. I adopted two of them and they were so well socialized and I love following along on their social media to see what cats get adopted and come to the cafe.
This place is fantastic! Purrmaid harbors an incredible sense of community through the love and care of the cats. The owners are welcoming and passionate about what they do. An amazing place to visit and volunteer at.

Purrmaid works tirelessly to care for all their cats, They take great care in not only finding them homes but making sure it is the right kind of home and match. Until a cat is adopted, it has a wonderful place to live at the cafe, and even the shy or scared ones eventually come out of their shell and get adopted.
Purrmaid Cafe is a great way to adopt as you can spend as much time as you need to make sure you find the right match. The owner, Robin, cares deeply for every cat, and she takes the adoption process very seriously including home checks.

If I was a cat hoping to find a "forever home", I'd be lucky to spend time at Purrmaid. They take such great care of the cats it usually doesn't take long to find new homes because when people come to visit them, they are able to be their best cat selves and make a good impression. Whether you're looking for an "only cat" to keep you company, or outgoing cuddlers, you can find a range of cat personalities at Purrmaid. The staff are always honest and helpful about identifying personalities or any issues you should know about before adopting. Even if you can't adopt, Purrmaid is a great place to hang out with feline friends for a while, all while supporting a great organization who cares about the cats and the new families they'll eventually join.
I have been lucky enough to have some of my fosters go to the Purrmaid Cafe. I am so grateful to them for having a place where shy cats get an opportunity to shine in a cage free environment. I have had 3 fosters adopted through Purrmaid Cafe and I am so happy they were part of their stepping stone to getting adopted. I wish there more places like Purrmaid Cafe.
Purrmaid Cafe is a godsend to fosters like myself whose kittens age out of their easily adoptable baby stage and are deemed less desirable. They lovingly socialize and care for our beloved cats, giving us detailed updates of their well-being and adoptions. We are so thankful to Purrmaid Cafe!!!

This is an amazing place to go visit the cats, whether to adopt or just hang out with them. It’s cheap therapy! It’s so cool to see the cats relaxed, wandering, playing and not in cages. They are very well-taken care of and loved. It’s such a magical place with the colors and climbing stuff. The events are so much fun, like playing bingo or tarot card reading with the cats wandering around. Just a relaxing magical place.
I've attended a few events there, including tarot readings and windows of time spent socializing kitties. During that time I've had a chance to observe the owners and the organization. They use the items given to them very well to best serve the interest of the animals. You can tell in everything they do that they really care for each cat and sometimes dogs. It's why I feel good about supporting them.
We adopted 2 cats from Purrmaid Cafe almost a year ago. Having never had cats as pets, it was so nice to get to visit the cafe and play with the cats before deciding, yes, we want cats! The staff and volunteers were very helpful in answering my myriad of questions about cat ownership. You can tell they are passionate about the care of cats and want the very best outcome for their in-cafe cats. We go back monthly to visit the new cafe cats and to help support the role this recue fulfills.
My wife operates the center. I mostly scoop cat litter. Once a cat comes to us, it never goes to a shelter. If the cat doesn't get adopted, it stays; there is no expiration date. If an adoption doesn't work out for whatever reason, our contract stipulates that the cat is returned to us. If the cat bites or otherwise can't stay at the cafe, it stays in our home. It is hard to say goodbye, but dozens of our cats have found wonderful forever homes, and some of the adopters periodically send us pictures of our alumni. Running an animal rescue has been a dream of ours for years, and I'm glad we were able to achieve it.
