The Pueblo Rescue Mission (formerly known as Wayside Cross Gospel Rescue Mission) is a place that cares for those of us who need a hand-up instead of a hand-down.... We need to raise awareness about our only local homeless shelter here in pueblo county...not only is it a warm place to eat and sleep at night, its also a prayer answered for those men/woman with Jesus in their sights...Volunteer or Donate food/men and women clothing by walk-in as I do every know and then....ask yourself this,"what if it was you" -VRA

Mission: Provide emergency shelter,
Programs: Lodging: provide shelter, showers and toiletires to displaced individuals. The shelter operates 365 days per year. Staff is provided during occupancy hours, with a director to oversee staff and operations. The objective is to provide a safe, temporary environment where the individual can reside while seeking permanent shelter. Residents are asked to pay $5 per day for lodging, but no one is declined admittance for lack of funds.
food: food is provided 365 days per year for residents. There is no cost for this service, and food is mostly donated. Walk-ins that are in need of an evening meal are also fed.
spiritual counseling, life skills training: services are provided by director, staff and qualified volunteers. Nightly chapel services are held for residents. Residents are encouraged to attend life skills training, with the objective of finding employment, and reversing homeless status.
