this poor girl took her cat to this dumb ass vet and she was severely doped up when she picked her up and the next day she died bc they gave her too much anesthesia for her tiny little body. they said the only way they could help her was to dig up her dead cat and bring her in to do an autopsy so they could prove it was them or not. literally disgusting. i hope yalls organization FAILS bc yalls are just killed people’s pets (some people this is their family)
I took a male and female cat to the public vet clinic in convoy ohio. They were professional and kind, and the services were very affordable. Drop-off went very well and I appreciated how respectful they are to the animals. When we dropped off our cats, we received numbers associated with our kitties for pickup.
However, I did have a problem when it came to pickup. My male cat came back with no problem whatsoever. However my female cat was misplaced and given to the wrong person. Another lady picking up her cat had given them the wrong number, and they had given her my cat. It took about 25-30 minutes to rectify the situation and get ahold of the other lady to return my cat. We also found out that during my girl’s surgery, they had found out she was pregnant and aborted the kittens without giving us the option of whether or not we wanted to keep them.
I was so thankful for the opportunity to affordably get my kitties cared for. But unfortunately there were some severe issues and a lot of stress associated with the pickup when we almost didn’t get our baby girl back.
We have been using this pet vet service for many years. We have a lot of barn / outdoor cats that reproduced at a very fast rate. With this service, we have been able to get many cats fixed and plan to keep at it, whenever they are in the area. The vets & staff are true amazing! I have great respect for all that the do, for the well-being of animals and communities! Thank you Pet Vet! Looking forward to seeing you again. Completely Recommend!!
The vet and people working with her are so kind and caring. I had a mother cat and two kittens all strays I brought to them in Byesville, Oh. I was able to get the two females spayed and the male neutered due to the affordable cost. The male kitten wasn't eating or moving the following day. I called them and they let me bring him back in to be checked out even though they were full of more surgeries. The male cat was fine he just needed more time to recover. I am so thankful for them without their services I would not of been able to afford these procedures. I would of ended up with more kittens needing homes. I wish more vets would offer their services at low cost like public vets, previously neuter scooter. Thank you again.

I was a volunteer for Public Vet in November in Terre Haute, Indiana. On that day, there was an extreme wind and rain storm but that did not keep them from coming to the Vigo County Fairgrounds. I was impressed by how well their team worked together (including that the veterinarian stood outside in the harsh weather so she could speak to each client). Even in this horrible weather, they spayed/neutered 98 cats in one day (plus vaccinations) . Our county has No resources for low cost spay/neuter/vaccination facilities. We need Public Vet and we are grateful to them.
We took our recently found stray cat to Public Vet in the Fall of 2022. I was not aware of Public Vet prior to this. I was so impressed with their orgnization, professionalism, friendliness, and their willingness to take the time to address my questions...despite the large number of patients they served that day. I felt very confident leaving my cat with them for neutering and vaccinations. I will definitely support them again when necessary. Their low cost services are great for the community and a healthy cat population.
I have several barn cats. They helped me spay my 3 females and neuter my 2 males. They were super nice and helpful. One of my females had just given birth to 6 kittens and they even checked them out for me as well. They took great care of my babies. The cats are so much happier and recovery was fine. I'm very thankful for public vet's help.
Public Vet used to be the Neuter Scooter in southeastern Ohio. We are a very small community with more cats going through our humane society than people living in our county. Finding affordable spay and neuter is impossible until the Public Vet comes to town. I have lived here for over 20 years and have used this service to spay and neuter strays that "appear" at our homestead. Barn cats are never a bad thing, as long as you keep the population from growing indiscriminately. Without the services of Public Vet many more felines would have to be added to the list of the unfortunate kitties that end up in our kill shelter. I cannot express how grateful I am to have their services available in the small towns here. I have utilized them many times over the years and I am sure I will again in the future. These are just a few of the cats that they have helped me to save from the shelter, and from the trigger happy neighbors.
I brought them a feral cat to be neutered. I never left the car. They took him in the cage and called me when I could pick him up that evening. He was a wild cat that I couldn't handle at all. They gave me back a neutered male with a rabies shot and he is happy staying home.
I have taken a few of my kitties to this group. I was so impressed by them that I started volunteering. I can tell you this group is professional and very caring. The care your babies receive here Is amazing.
We were "adopted" by a young female cat we had occasionally spotted crossing our property. I strongly felt she had been neutred, but I was afraid to risk not being sure. I couldn't get her into the Humane Society for several months and was looking for an affordable alternative. I found Public Vet and was able to book a spot for an upcoming event. Their operation flows smoothly and efficiently. I found out that she had indeed been spayed, so she did not undergo a needless surgery. Instead they vaccinated her(as requested) and gave her a flea treatment. They were kind and caring. They offer a great service at an affordable price. Thank you PV!
We first used Pet Vet under the Neuter Scooter name some 10 years ago for some cats that we rescued and kept for our growing family. Dr. Tess Peavy was wonderful and spent time with us at pick-up, answering all of our questions and concerns.
Fast forward to the fall of 2022, we used Pet Vet for 12 more stray cats that we rescued at my Dad's house. We are keeping some and fostering the others as 18 cats are a bit too many for our budget!
I HIGHLY recommend Pet Vet do to their caring and compassion. The costs to do the same at our regular vet (which we love) would have not been doable.
