The teachers and staff at Provident Charter School are amazing! Our son was diagnosed as dyslexic at the end of first grade. So, we found a tutor who specializes in multi-sensory reading instruction that worked with him two or three days a week for the past three years. But it wasn't enough - her help is what enabled him to read at a 2nd grade level when starting 4th grade at Provident. However, since attending Provident, his ability and confidence has grown so much! It is because the teachers provide multi-sensory reading instruction five days a week - he now reads nearly at grade level! He has made a year’s progress in a half a year. Even more exciting…he looks forward to reading books every night before bed!

Our son has been at Provident Charter School since it opened doors in August 2016. His reading and writing deficits created a systematic decline in his confidence and mood at his prior school despite tutoring 4 days a week at a high monetary cost to our family. Provident has created a learning environment focused on his specific needs fostering immediate improvement in academics, mood, and confidence with no additional cost to our family. This is such a benefit for our entire family as well as any student in the region with Dyslexia and other language based leading differences. Make no mistake...Provident is a rare gem.
