Mission: Protestants for the common good is a faith-based not-for-profit serving christian churches and other people of faith through education and advocacy on metropolitan, state-wide, and national issues of social justice. Its motto is people of faith advancing justice in common life.
Programs: Criminal justice program. Many educational sessions were held in churches and communities about the need to change drug policies that lead to excessive incarcerations, mainly of minority minor offenders. $75,000 of support was transferred to community renewal society for work in 2013.
poverty and economic justice program. Educational and advocacy campaigns to increase the minimum wage in illinois and sustain the state budget for welfare recipients were conducted.
environmental program. The organization joined other coalitions to educate and advocate for greener energy management in illinois.
