I have been a subscriber of PCa International for over 8 years and it keeps getting better. There is no charge for the service and a user can ask questions about his own case and get a compassionate response about current treatments and diagnostics. The site's blog contains a wealth of very accurate reporting about the latest clinical trial results and pending research, and expert commentary about how the results and research may affect or assist the patient. Every prostate cancer patient who wants to be an advocate for himself should subscribe.

I am in my 10th year with advanced prostate cancer and Sitemaster at Prostate Cancer International is still the best source of the most accurate, unbiased, and detailed information about prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment. You can read and research the latest studies, with the added benefit of Sitemaster's expert analysis, from the patient's perspective. Subscribing to the Infolink is like having your own medical communications specialist on call 24/7.

This organization provides the best no non-sense progress updates on pCa development and comes with excellent summary analysis. Their opinions are one of the least biased and always from the perspective of patients. I have grown to give them a lot of weight in new treatment options. Whether you're a patient, doctor, family, or investor, show your support. I can't thank PCI enough for their years of selfless dedication. THANK YOU!

Have been down loading info in regards to prostate cancer. I am a survivor & cancer free since having a prostatectomy with nerve sparing minimum evasive robotic surgery. This was back in June of 2017. I am on a 5 year exam including PSA blood test at my urologist surgeon’s lab at his practice which is about 25 to 30 miles from my home. Still recovering with some minor side effects which is only ED but seems to be improving. I was very lucky that I had a low Gleason Score & preceded with the recommendation procedure about 5 or 6 months from the biopsy being sent to pathology and confirming that I had prostate cancer. After my surgery the results from the Pathologist lab verification, all the cancer was contained inside the prostate capsule. No cancer found in the removed lymph glands & seminal vessels. My being able to control my urination was in about 6 to 10 weeks & only had to use a pad about once or twice a week. At this date I no longer need a pad at all.

There is a lot of crap on the web, but this site is on the opposite side of that spectrum as it provides well researched-well reasoned information on prostate cancer and its treatments. This site has provided guidance and direction in researching my own cancer, and has been a great help in that regard in allowing me to make an informed decision. A tremendous amount of work and effort goes into the site and I greatly appreciate the information it provides.

As a seventeenth year survivor of once life-threatening prostate cancer, I find this website to be amazingly good - one of the very best I've ever used!

A core strength is the profound expertise, caring, and energy that the sitemaster employs in bringing us reports of worthwhile new studies and also discussing those studies with us.

This is my best resource in keeping up-to-date on the fast moving field of prostate cancer research and trends.

The ongoing reporting of prostate cancer news on prostatecancerinfolink.org is an invaluable resource for prostate cancer patients who don't have the time or expertise to wade through all the published literature. This site owes everything (well, almost everything) to the tireless efforts and balanced judgment of sitemaster Mike Scott. Virtually every day, the "New" Prostate Cancer Infolink, sponsored by Prostate Cancer International, posts between one and three articles about prostate cancer. The articles are extraordinarily informative, trustworthy, and well-written. The jewel in the crown of PCI is their off-the-charts fantastic summaries of the latest advances in prostate cancer in their "New Prostate Cancer InfoLink." If I had only one source of information on prostate cancer that I could follow, it would be this one. Mike Scott and Allen Edel are remarkably knowledgeable and thorough in their coverage of all forms of prostate cancer diagnosis, imaging and treatment of prostate cancer from active surveillance to mCRPC. I'm a Board member for the Answer Cancer Foundation and we offer virtual online support calls for men living with all stages of prostate cancer (and other cancers) and the postings of Mike and Allen are often discussed on our calls. We love these guys.

The New Prostate Cancer Infolink Social Network is best of class. Before there were navigators to help those newly-diagnosed deal effectively with prostate cancer, the network was there for me.

Without the Infolink, I would likely have made a bad decision and have been needlessly sterile, impotent and (likely) incontinent for the last ten years. Need I say more?

When I was diagnosed with prostate cancer I received urgent advice to proceed with surgery and equally urgent advice to proceed with radiation. It was only at the "New" Prostate Cancer Info site that I found simple straight forward advice on both treatments as well as the only advice on "watchful waiting". Plus's ,minus's and the simple "we do not know for sure" on all methods without an agenda.

That was nearly eight years ago, no surgery, no radiation and still at pretty stable low risk. This is where I go to keep aware of advances in treatment and a dose of reality on new "cures". With "cured" bladder cancer and skin cancer this site feels like "home".

Although I was not the one diagnosed with prostate cancer, this organization was an emotional lifesaver for me! In addition to providing me with valuable information about Prostate Cancer, the emotional support, especially after my husbands initial diagnosis, was irreplaceable. I will NEVER forget the initial support that I received through Jan Manarite via PCRI. When I got on the "New" Prostate Cancer website, posing fearful questions, Dana actually called me and spoke with me by phone (as did Jan Manarite). I read Patrick Walsh's book immediately, but it is when I read Victoria Hallerman's (met on website) book "How we Survived Prostate Cancer" that I began feeling "felt". I don't check in much anymore, though my husband has progressed through surgery, radiation, and now (within last 2 months) to Casodex and Androgen Deprivation. I wholeheartedly recommend this organization to anyone who has Prostate Cancer, or who loves someone with Prostate Cancer! Claire C

I have been using The "New" Prostate Cancer Info Link for about 5 years. It is excellent! I wish I had been connected with them before I had my surgery - their explanations are on topic and very clear. I live in Canada, and while I am very pleased with our health care programs, in terms of being patient centred and up to date, the help I received from The NPC Infolink was vastly superior to what I received from our provincial prostate cancer program. NPCI goes put of its way to understand and respond to patients needs and concerns. It is remarkable. And it also offered a blog service, expertly monitored, that connected me to other men who were dealing with prostate cancer. I recommend this service to anyone, anywhere in the world.

I am a 59 year old man who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1999. Although I had surgery, followed by radiation therapy, followed by androgen-blocking therapy, the disease continued to progress and has metastasized to one area of my spine. The disease progression has been significantly retarded, I believe, by my participation in several clinical trials over the past several years, at Johns Hopkins and elsewhere. "The 'New' Prostate Cancer Infolink" is the best source of information I have found in my considerable research about cutting-edge prostate cancer issues, and especially about new drugs and clinical trials. It is of great importance to patients like me to have such a resource available. For example, the daily posts or blog that I receive from the sitemaster by email have helped me--and my physician--decide upon the appropriate sequencing of the several clinical trials for which I have been eligible. The issue of optimal sequencing is highly uncertain but is important, because choosing to participate in certain clinical trials early on can disqualify a patient from participating from other, potentially beneficial trials later on. I particularly like the site's daily blog because it is written in language that a layperson (like me, an antitrust lawyer) can readily understand, but the information is not simplistic or "dumbed down," and the blog provide links to articles and resources that are useful even to my oncologist. (My oncologist runs clinical trials himself, but he can't get to every conference that the Infolink sitemaster reports on.) In other words, the presentation of the information achieves an excellent balance of technical detail and accessibility. I am grateful for the efforts of those involved and for the clear, direct prose style of the blog.

New Prostate Cancer Infolink NPCI is an operational service of PCI. I needed to find out as much as possible about prostate cancer when my father was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer. He succumbed to prostate cancer two years ago. Since I first started following it, NPCI has been an excellent an frequently updated source of information about appropriate prostate cancer treatment and new developments in treatment. Obviously I'm biased, but NPCI is probably the most readily accessible source of patient appropriate information about the PSA screening test for prostate cancer. In addition to timely news commentary, notification of published research and new clinical trials, NPCI also provides sophisticated, on point, response to questions and comments on new postings. NPCI is an awesome resource for those interested in prostate cancer treatment.

It has been a better source of useful information than resources that I have investigated and/or purchased. I have shared information with my treating Urologisrt/surgeon that he was unaware of. This site provides excellent information and support to those of us that have this disease.

I was first diagnosed with prostate cancer five years ago but only became aware of the PCI website in the last year. It is excellent and the best website I have found. In the U.S the only other website I have used is Malecare, whcih is good but is v ery US centric, while PCI has a good internatioal side to it. I have found nothing of value outside of these two websites. I wish it every success.

This November will be the 5th anniversary of my high grade prostate cancer diagnosis. After much research and consults with conventional and alternative doctors, I made the decision to go the alternative route and with God's help, my two alternative doctors, my conventional urologist and personal changes on diet, exercise and mind monitoring I am better now than prior to the diagnosis. It is very sad and discomforting that you maintain a site that just promotes the VERY process that most honest doctors are acknowledging that it is very far from providing a cure for this type; actually any type of cancer.

When my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer this year. Without "New" Prostate Cancer InfoLink, the amazing moderators, contributors, medical specialists and treatment links it provides, I think we would have emotionally drowned. We got a response to my first post within a couple of hours-unheard of on most internet medical info sites. The support and information we got allowed us to calm down, investigate our options, make a decision and be hopeful. This cancer will be an ongoing battle but at least I have a reliable source to turn to when we need fresh troops.

I found the advice given to me on this web sight invaluable. It answered all my questions and helped me come to terms with the advice given and that was to have radical surgery. I have since had the operation (two months ago) and have recovered very well. I followed all advice given especially in choosing a doctor who is very experienced with this kind of surgery. I have my first PSA blood test done next week and am fully confident that all the cancer has been removed. Best Wishes. Ray Stubbings.

I am a retired physician. When I gave up the profession 15 years ago there was a definite lack of information/knowledge about prostatic cancer. This was true in both the public realm and most tragically in and among the medical profession. I shudder to think of the men we sent for TURs without other consideration than urinary flow. We just did not know better. Now I find myself a victim of my own ignorance. Since developing prostatic cancer I have begun to try to educate myself on the subject. I have read literally thousands of papers and reviews. Indeed I am now far better educated but really unable to help myself. I have searched for answers and found many contradictions. In this aearch for a information I have found several on-line sites which offer real information. Among these I find I read the "New Prostate Infolink" most often. Good information well presented. Still not everyting I could hope for but the best available.

This information service has been very useful in sorting out the vast range of data related to PC. PC has to be one of the most difficult cancers to determine a proper course of action. Valid treatment options range from doing nothing to radical interventions. Historically overtreatment may have resulted in the quest to fail safe and sometimes created outcomes worse than the disease (do no harm). The urologists have valid points to make but independant objective information is priceless.

I have provided my PSA tests results, Gleason score, CT scans, etc.. and sought advice on how to proceed with treatment. Prostate Cancer International was great as many of its members responded with advice on how to proceed, what to watch for and what to say and ask the medical specialists who were sought by me for consultation. All this helped make my journey quite a learned and comfortable one, given the circumstances. After more than a year with PCa and initial radiation treatment, I continue to link up with Prostate Cancer International and its wonderful and helpful volunteers.

I am a prostate cancer survivor. I have had surgery in the past year. This site is a good source of timely information on what to expect from the first diagnosis of elevated PSA to a diagnosis of cancer. It gives the patient that information the doctor may be uncomfortable in discussing.

The Prostate Cancer InfoLink is where I get current information on prostate cancer treatment. It is also where I get links to cutting edge research and treatment. As a recently diagnosed cancer patient, I appreciate this site very much.

Top research. Strong, educated responses to questions. Medically sound. Daily updates. A bookmark in my browser used daily. This site/organization has a face and a human scale interaction. Fully worthwhile and a must for anyone interested in fact based information about prostate cancer.

As a prostate cancer survivor I have had numerous opportunities to share my story with other men who have been diagnosed with pCa. PCI was there for me when I needed information about the disease, treatment options, and encouragement in dealing with the emotional side. Now I frequently direct other guys to the PCI website to get the same help. They have always told me how helpful the PCI site was and how much they appreciated the site being there for them. The information is personal, accurate, and non-biased.

There is excellent information available on the website. The support groups offer strategies for coping with prostate cancer, whether you are the patient or the family member. Survivors and caregivers share their personal anecdotes pre and post surgery.

Fantastic source of un biased up to the minute news on treatments and general stories surrounding the disease.

As a sufferer it gives me hope to read about new treatment and research.

Great job well done.

I was lucky to find the webside of "Prostate Cancer International" right after been diagnosed. At the time I knew nothing about the desease and did not learn much from the doctors treating me. So I read a lot and had a discussion with E.Michael ("Mike") Scott. His ideas about my treatment and his prompt answers to my questions (about the wight time to restart my ADT,for example) helped me a lot. Contacts with the other PC servivals ware also very useful.
Thank you "PC International"!

The site they run has provided invaluable information in the difficult time after my prostate cancer diagnosis. By providing a central location where fellow cancer patients can share information, and where doctors and others in the field can comment, it opens the door to many options that were not clear before visiting the site.

PCaI has provided and continues to provide professional and knowledgeable information regarding issues involved when diagnosed with prostate cancer as well as the treatment of that cancer both early on as well as when recurring. Every single day the latest information from medical journals is posted on this excellent website with knowledgeable and expert commentary. The site then provides the capability for readers to comment either pro or con or with additional information to support that having been posted. Truly an outstanding website for prostate cancer patients, caregivers, and physicians involved in the diagnosis and treatment of this insidious men's disease.

There is a plethora of media announcements, usually based on feeds from interested parties, which can cause problems for men diagnosed with prostate cancer and their supporters. The New Prostate Cancer Infolink decodes these and helps people understand which contain useful information and how this may help them and which (regrettably it seems the majority) are merely a distraction.

In addition valube information from technical journals is summarised and these entires are of enormous help to people trying to understand the intricacies of prostate cancer.

I just wish more people knew of it - it is underutilised in my opinion.
