I started taking my children to the library 35+ years ago. I also made arrangements for the local summer childcare program to be included n the summer program. This library has been very active in the local elementary school, examples Dr. Suess' birthday, book clubs and of course reading to the students. As our grandkids became old enough to attend story time we did. When we couldn't go the library it was truly missed. The programing here is amazing. This library has developed programs for all ages and has become a vital part of the entire community. The sad thing is since library fund has drastically been reduced it is necessary to obtain financial support by fund raising and applying for grants. Many people don't know about the finances of this vital part of our community. The opportunity for grants is utilized as much as possible and fund raising also. As members of this small town community we all should commit to supporting our wonderful library so we can continue to enjoy the programing it has developed and offers us.

Prospect Community Library is a great Library. Jill and Shari are very friendly and always available for questions and advise. The Library has many programs for everyone to take advantage of. My favorite program is the Craft Night. I am so glad we can get books from other Libraries as well.

When we first started going to Prospect Community Library for weekly story time, my son was extremely shy and not yet one. He loved books and would listen intently most weeks, but participation came slowly. The staff's understanding and kindness in a place that became part of his routine really helped him come out of his shell as he grew. They have a wide variety of programming opportunities for people of all ages, and they seem truly committed to staying in tune with the needs of their patrons. While it's a fantastic place to find a great read, it's also a vibrant, welcoming place that fosters a wonderful sense of community.
