I sat on the Board for several years while my two girls participated every summer with Project Shine improving the community and the lives of the families we helped . We also ministered to the youth in the Kenmore community and tried to improve the homes and other venues in the neighborhood. My children and I always recall the wonderful experiences and spiritual growth we experienced helping Project Shine. As a board member we were able to function very well and help over 25-30 families a year. I am very proud of the Project Shine non profit and know they will continue to Shine in the Kenmore community for years to come! The painting, cleaning and yardwork every summer helps improve the Kenmore community and helps to lift the recipients spirits as well.
I have volunteered with Project Shine for four years and have been very impressed with the organization, service model, and Spiritual emphasis. Many homes and lives have been changed for the better in the Kenmore community. I have also had the opportunity to see multiple teenagers grow in their relationship with God through serving others, participating in the evening programs, and engaging with other believers.
Project Shine has been a terrific shining light in the Kemnore Community for many years. I was involved in it from the beginning as the Pastor of the Sponsoring Church. This nonprofit organization has met the needs of so many deserving recipients with home repairs/cleaning/painting, etc. Seeing the facial expressions and hearing the thrill of their voices speak a multitude of thanksgiving feelings. This organization deserves recognition for its sacrificial service to this community.
