PROJECT OUR TOWN

Thank for making it possible to support so many different non-profits that I wouldn’t be able to support on my own. I love coming to volunteer events and helping put donation packages together. I love donating because my money goes to lots of different places to help lots of different people. Project Our Town is the best of the best!

I can't say enough good things about the team behind Project Our Town. Their dedication and passion for helping others is addicting. They radiate positivity and make volunteering fun while expecting nothing in return. It takes a special type of person to give so much time and effort into giving back into the community and I'm lucky to have worked with them throughout several unique projects. They don't discriminate about the type of help either and aim toward impacting whoever they can. Looking forward to working with them again and would highly recommend them to anyone who has some spare time to giving back to the community.

I have been volunteering the Project Our Town for many years, and have found all of the projects I've worked to be thoroughly enjoyable and very fulfilling. The organizers have been wonderful to work with - they are truly dedicated to their work for the community. And they work hard to make the experience positive for the volunteers. They have a wide variety of projects they support and I can always find one that interests me to work on. And the best part - every project supports the local community so you know your efforts have direct local benefit to groups that are truly in need. This organization gets my highest recommendation!

PROJECT OUR TOWN is a small nonprofit with a big heart for helping others. One of my favorite things about PROJECT OUR TOWN is that most of the volunteer opportunities available are suitable for families to do together. It is my opinion that children learn from example. Not only seeing your parents help others, but to participate in the joy of giving with them, establishes a foundation for being a contributing member of your community. I am so proud to talk about all of the ways that PROJECT OUR TOWN helps people in the Denver metro area. And I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such generous and committed individuals as well.

I have been helping at PROJECT OUR TOWN for eight years. We assist many smaller nonprofits that in turn help those with food insecurity, homelessness, struggling families, veterans, animal shelters, and any deserving cause. It’s an amazing group of volunteers!

Project Our Town opened the door to a number of new volunteer opportunities to me, and introduced me to some of my now-favorite ways to serve and interact with my community. It truly is a great organization with something for everyone, and their impact cannot be understated!

Talk about a great group of people. Love that they don't focus on just one single area of need. Impactful to know that one month you might be focusing on food insecurity and the next you might be focused on supporting animals in shelters.

I have worked with PROJECT OUR TOWN since it first started and have been inspired ever since to volunteer and make a meaningful impact on our community.
I love that there are so many different projects that help many causes. But the Bean Soup project is my favorite. It is the best feeling when a few people can come together and start bagging beans and spices, and in just a couple of hours, there are 200 bean soup kits that will feed 200 families. I love it!

I have recently been introduced to PROJECT OUR TOWN and am head-over-heels thrilled with my experience. The community is so welcoming, and the projects are so engaging and impactful. If you are looking to get involved with meaningful programs, this is the group for you!

I've had the absolute pleasure of volunteering for Project Our Town for two years now. I can't speak highly enough of the heart and passion that goes into each project they do. P.O.T. Supports many needed causes that inspire me to donate whenever I can. Recently I took time to be an active participant in one of their projects, teaching others to knit for charitable donations. It was a joy to spend a few hours working with such a kind and welcoming group of people. I’m looking forward to many more projects with these generous souls.

I have been both a proud sponsor and volunteer at Project Our Town since its inception. Every year they strive to increase their impact in the community. From diapers, to dog toys, to school back packs, to helping the homeless, Project Our Town knows no boundaries in which organizations it assists. If there is a need, they strive to fill it. I have seen first hand the impact in the community from a few of those organizations that Project Our Town recruits supplies and volunteers. I will continue to sponsor and volunteer for this amazing organization.

Project Our Town has brought together volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to work on community projects. The feeling of doing good in our community is extremely fulfilling. We need more organizations like Project Our Town to bring diverse groups together to improve our world.

Well organized events, welcoming, helpful staff and volunteers. Great charity for children to learn the need for and importance of helping others. Numerous different events for individuals, families and people who are occasionally left out of mainstream living. So glad to contribute time and money to an organization that supports schools, seniors, veterans and a host of others who serve our community. Project Our Town is a powerful organization built entirely of amazing volunteers who tirelessly give their resources to create opportunities for volunteers to participate in impactful projects that serve the community. I was introduced to the organization several years back and I can say that I have been serving alongside them ever since. Their energy for doing good is contagious and they have become an excellent resource and valuable community service provider. Our world is a better place for it!

I have volunteered and worked with Project Our Town for five years and I always receive more than I give! I love the variety of causes that we support. I've known the founders of this organization since its inception, and they are some of the most caring people I've ever met. They have done such an exceptional job with Project Our Town. What started as a weekend volunteer extravaganza has developed and grown over the years to provide volunteer opportunities throughout the year. My favorite thing about Project Our Town is that there are plenty of activities I can do with my child, and those volunteer opportunities are difficult to come by! We have had so much fun over the years, from decorating onesies for newborns in need, to making pet toys for our local shelters, to creating thoughtful cards to send to our military overseas. This organization is amazing because it doesn't do just one thing; it strives to find something for everyone!

I am Lilah and I loved volunteering with project our town! They help a new charity every other Sunday and it’s a great experience. I helped make dog and cat toys for an animal shelter. It was really fun and we had detailed explanations. I am so exited to come again and I can’t wait!

I have been involved with Project Our Town since it was incorporated and it is a wonderful organization--pairing volunteers with needy organizations. I am proudest of its effect on children. I have seen the looks of wonder and delight when I drop off a load of backpacks full of school supplies at schools where most students have little to nothing (I spoke with some who sleep in a car every night). I have also seen children volunteer to sort food, make cards, or some other needed effort and these children leave feeling like they've just done something fun and wonderful (which they have). Best is that I see these same children continue to volunteer year after year and always bring friends and companions with them. The logistics of setting up these volunteer events and matching volunteers directly with food baks, etc is daunting and yet the organization makes it seamless. Denver and the surrounding geography is a much better place because of Project Our Town.

My family started volunteering with PROJECT OUR TOWN a year ago, as it was one of the few nonprofits that had ample opportunity for children to participate just as much as adults. Since then, my family has been able to volunteer on a variety of projects helping out various other nonprofits - another wonderful aspect of their mission. Their board members and volunteers are so dedicated to improving the community and really making a difference in the lives of so many worthy folks. Their passion is infectious and I've been thrilled about the opportunity to take on a greater volunteer role. Top-notch organization!
