Both of our pups are PNK rescues, and we adore them. I had no issues with the application process, and with PNK making sure that our previous pup (who had passed away) was taken care of with regular vet visits, and that she was always on a heart-worm preventative. I had to obtain and provide our vet records and vet referrals before getting approved. Both of our PNK rescue dogs were likely previously abused, and PNK or any other rescue offering them for adoption has a duty to them to ensure that they are going into a better and safer home environment than they were previously in. Rescue dogs have already been through enough, and PNK is only looking out for their best interests in regards to vetting potential adoptive families. I recommend PNK to anyone looking to rescue a small dog, and am so thankful for our 2 babies that we adopted from PNK.

If you're thinking about getting a dog from PNK there are several factors to be considered. 1) read their contract or have your lawyer read it. 2) you do not own the dog, you "rent it" you can do nothing with the dog without their permission and you can only return it to them and you do not get your money back. 3) they come and check you and your home out to see if it's conducive for a dog. 3) they do not keep your application on file you have to fill out a new one for every dog you apply for. 4) PNK says they are in business to help the dogs and keep people from going to "puppy mills" I do not believe that (actions speak louder than words) PNK are forcing people to "puppy mills". I've had a dog most of my life, our last one went over the rainbow bridge four years ago, after dealing with PNK I guess we're going to have to go to a"puppy mill". I'm 75 & live on 2 acres. Try an animal shelter I've been told that's where PNK gets alot of their dogs.

My 72 year old mother applied for a pup through them. Her 16 year old pappion had passed away a several months back. She received a voicemail from someone named sandy and was told they couldn’t complete her application because she didn’t have any heart worm Preventive She had checked no on the application to having heart worm preventive because she had no pet. Sandy also left another rude message when my
Mother questioned why would she have heart worm medicine when she had no dog I then ask sandy to call and she was extremely rude and not nice.

We adopted a dog from PNK several months ago but after a couple of months we had to return the dog to PNK. We loved this dog beyond words but she had a major behavior problem . It broke our hearts to have to return her...we grieved terribly. I contacted the director of PNK by phone and by several e-mails....all we wanted to know was if the dog was alright...is she happy...does she have a new family. We left messages on the director's voice mail but never got a return call....never got a reply to our e-mails. Such a shame that we didn't get a courtesy call to let us know how the dog is doing. People have feelings too along with the feelings of dogs....shame, shame on the director. We hope this dog is happy and is loved. For all the satisfied customers of PNK...that's great but, we would never recommend this agency to anyone

I've been volunteering with this group for about 8 months. The President and board of directors are highly motivated and hard working. I believe they will succeed in building a shelter. They are doing everything they can to raise funds for a shelter, including using Gofundme, selling t-shirts, and holding raffles and other events in the Triad area. Please help this group wherever you can. The animals in the Triad area need the support.
