It has been a great pleasure to work with Project Linus over the past 10 or so years. I was honored to help at a pre-deployment of troops where Project Linus made available and handed out hundreds of hand-made blankets to children, and some spouses, to provide them a bit of comfort while their soldier was overseas.
The principal of our local high school asked for blankets for students who were family/friends of teens who died in a car accident. Blankets are also made available to EMS to offer to children who may need some comfort following a trauma.
Project Linus is a credit to our community by donating time and materials to all in need of a bit of comfort.

Mission: We make new handmade blankets for children in need
Results: 25,000 blankets have been delivered to children since November 2006.
Target demographics: Children in need and provide a place where people can volunteer to help children.
Direct beneficiaries per year: An average of 1800 children a year. Due to the pandemic this was cut drastically.
Geographic areas served: Fond du Lac and Dodge County WI
Programs: New handmade blankets made by loving volunteers called blanketeers.
