Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Environment, Recycling
Mission: Project Green Ball is a tax exempt, non-profit, sustainability initiative to coordinate innovative recycling programs for used tennis balls and to donate surfaces based on the recycled balls to organizations servicing people with disabilities or life threatening diseases.
Results: We have created a network of over 90 tennis clubs, schools, teams, and facilities as well as hundreds of individuals that donate balls. We have 25 clubs that host collection bins. Our donations have amounted to over 250,000 balls and the facilitated donation of two ball-based equestrian turfs to therapeutic riding programs.
