Mission: POWER (Professional Women and Women Entrepreneurs) is a non-profit organization founded in 2017 by immigrant women who recognized the need for culturally responsive and linguistically diverse domestic violence services in central Pennsylvania. Our organization is dedicated to serving and empowering individuals with backgrounds from countries such as Somalia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Advocacy and Support: We provide critical advocacy and support to domestic violence survivors, helping them rebuild their lives and achieve independence. Our services include emotional and practical support, connecting survivors with essential resources, and ensuring their voices are heard. Education and Empowerment: Community Education: We work to change the way the South Asian community views and responds to domestic and sexual violence by educating on diversity, violence prevention, and empowerment. We promote healthy, non-violent relationships and commit to social change, professionalism, and equity. Through our comprehensive and culturally tailored services, POWER has empowered many individuals to overcome their past traumas and move forward with confidence and strength, building new lives filled with hope and opportunity. empowering women in all areas like sports and fitness Free health camps Youth educational activities Youth entrepreneurs/business empowerment Helping homeless
