Causes: Arts & Culture, Performing Arts
Mission: To encourage, promote and support the highest standards of the performing arts. To provide educational & experiences in the performing arts. To produce professional quality theatrical productions. To develop and implement programs that assist young people in becoming successful in life.
Programs: Produced two major theatrical productions and one on the mainstage at savannah center in the villages, fl. The shows were produced at the very highest level of community theatre. More than 7000 people attended these performances. More than 100 local performers, amateur and professional, honed their skills under the direction of a skilled broadway actor & producer in residence. More than $30,000 was paid to professional performing artists and musicians.
in june & july 2017 pro-am assisted another 501(c)3, the nittany theatre at the barn in state college, pa. Providing them with guidance and direction for two of their summer stock productions; donating a new refrigerator for backstage; and donating various marketing paraphernalia (t-shirts & polos with show logos and cd's) for one of the shows.
throughout the year, approximately 100 people attended pro-am sponsored acting and singing classes in the villages, fl. All classes are free of charge.
in addition to a $1200 grant to nittany theatre, pro-am donated $3000 to rotary international.
