Mission: The mission of princeton healthcare system, a new jersey nonprofit corporation is to be the focal point of a comprehensive community health system that responds to the healthcare needs of our service area residents. Princeton healthcare system will provide inpatient and outpatient care, community health education, medical education and should promote medical and scientific research when appropriate. It is integral to the mission of princeton healthcare system to continually improve quality of service to our patients and community and to provide appropriate healthcare to all. Programs: The university medical center of princeton at plainsboro provides comprehensive patient care and support services relating to patient care. It is an acute care facility with 319 beds comprised of 288 acute care, 17 physical rehabiliation and 14 special care nursery bassinets. princeton house behavioral health is a psychiatric and behavioral health facility. It provides comprehensive psychiatric and substance abuse recovery programs. Its 110 beds produced 33,570 patient days in 2016. Outpatient visits and treatments across multiple sites amounted to 95,793. princeton homecare services provides home nursing care, home rehabilitation, homemaker services and operates a hospice program. In 2016, there were 46,367 occasions of service and 23,025 hospice visits recorded. This growing service is vital in the capacity to provide care at the patient's home rather than requiring a stay in the hospital. Princeton homecare services also operates a hospice.
