Programs: The prc is a community resource for women/men/families in unplanned pregnancies. A person finding themselves in an unexpected pregnancy can come to the prc for free and confidential assistance, education, advice and pregnancy testing and limited ultrasound services. The prc employs 1 executive director, 1 full-time administrative assistant, 1 full-time nurse manager, 1 full-time client services manager, and 1 full-time receptionist. The prc has 200 volunteers providing support services for 633 clients (5218 volunteer hours. The prc provided 314 free pregnancy tests, 156 free limited ultrasounds, 18 women received counsel and support for post-abortion recovery, and 301 clients received assistance through parenting classes and resources for pregnancy and infant care with maternity and/or baby clothes and other various baby items. All items and services are provided free. The prc distributes educational materials covering parenting, adoption and risks of abortion along with referrals to medical professionals and other community support services as needed. All support given is free to the client. The prc also provides support groups to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of the client through the post-abortive recovery groups.
abstinence program: the prc has 1 director and 9 volunteers. Abstinence education is presented in middle schools, high schools, detention centers, and churches youth groups. Abstinence was presented to over 4,000 youth from ages 10-18. Sessions are provided for parents. Education materials are purchased with grant money and given to students at no cost.
