I was blessed and honored to volunteer and do my 100 hours of internship at the Pregnancy Resource Center. It totally transformed my life, which helped me understand the reality of what young girls experience being pregnant and not always having support from family, the father, and friends. The staff and volunteers always portrayed love and compassion to everyone that walked through the door. I am grateful women young and older have a safe place to go in their time of need.
I am a founding board member and former Executive Director and have had the great Joy to see the center grow over the past 15 years of serving the North County community. I watched the Lord bring the center to medical clinic status and presently have had the great privledge and Joy to return to the center as the Mobile Image Clear Ultrasound Manager and help to bring the first (ICU) Mobile Medical Clinic to the State of California. We are also helping with outreach to the whole community through the ICU Mobile Clinic by helping other centers who do not offer medical services to their clients. This has truly been the hand of God to watch as he is joining the body of Christ together to serve those in a crisis pregnancy come to realize their is Hope through the love of Jesus Christ and through His people who serve in these Life Saving Ministries. We also look forward to watching a fleet grow in our San Diego Community as the Lord is moving on others throughout our county to bring 2 new mobile clinics soon.
I became involved with the Pregnancy Resource Center in February 2012. At the time, I had just graduated with a master's degree and was waiting tables, praying and asking God to provide me with a job in a non-profit ministry. One day, I served lunch to a board member and her husband. As we chatted, we found that we went to the same church and had a lot in common. They asked me about my story and the board member told me that they had just authorized the executive director to hire an assistant at the Pregnancy Resource Center. I knew that the job was perfect for me. I contacted the center and the rest is history. This ministry has been such a blessing to me. I am so grateful for God's provision and direction in my life. My dream was to serve Him and use my education, gifts, and talents in my workplace. He has answered those prayers and more. Now, I have been through training and have been counseling women in our center when I am not helping Kim Brunson, our executive director, with many projects that keep our center running. Please keep our center and all staff and volunteers in prayer as we seek the Lord's wisdom for this ministry. Please pray for every client that comes into our center or mobile clinic to feel loved, supported, and cared for as they make difficult decisions regarding their unplanned pregnancies. Please pray for our finances to always be directed by the Lord and His will for this ministry.
