Mission: The mission of the women's choice network is to empower abortion-vulnerable women to choose life.
Programs: Women's choice network centers has four pittsburgh locations offering medical services, education and material assistance to women who are vulnerable to abortion. A trained staff and medical personnel provided 1,892 women with needed services. 1,119 of those were new clients, the remainder were clients returning for ongoing services. 243 of the women considered vulnerable to abortion decided to carry their baby to term after counseling and viewing an ultrasound. Clients are primarily single and between the ages of 14-35. Services include pregnancy testing, std testing and treatment, sonogram, education about pregnancy and various pregnancy options. Post abortion groups are also formed for those experiencing trauma from a past abortion. Certified speakers presented in 10 local school districts reaching over 3500 students with abstinence education. Clients may enroll in ongoing services that provide for material needs such as baby furnishings, clothing, diapers and formula. Education, small groups, ongoing support and other programs are also offered.
The Women's Choice Network in Pittsburgh is an awesome source of support to those individuals who are looking for help on making a decision. The ladies really helped me through a tough season in my life. I didn't know how or what I was going to do. I considered abortion, parenting or adoption, the support my counselor gave me helped me make the best decision. I'm grateful to all of you.
