Nonprofit Overview
Mission: The Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development creates vibrant communities that benefit their residents and are assets to the region. We do this by:
- Mobilizing private and public investments in communities;
- Building local capacity and leadership
- Introducing new knowledge and best practices
- Improving policies; and
- Serving as an impartial convener of system change efforts
Target demographics: Low- to moderate-income communities in the City of Pittsburgh and in the Pittsburgh region.
Geographic areas served: Pittsburgh region
Programs: A majority of PPND’s grantmaking and related program resources on four multi-neighborhood target areas. In each of these target areas, PPND will support the development of more comprehensive revitalization agendas around which there is broad stakeholder consensus. Key elements of these agendas will be implemented by neighborhood based nonprofits working collaboratively with one another and other implementation partners.
