Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: Power Packs Project empowers families with education and ingredients to create nutritious weekend meals, so their children return to school fed and ready to learn. Hunger kid's can't learn. Empower. Educate. Feed.
Results: In the 2017-2018 school year, we provided food to 2,200 children and their families serving over 659,199 meals.
Target demographics: economically disadvantaged families who are food insecure.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 2,200 children and their families serving over 659,199 meals.
Geographic areas served: Lancaster County and Lebanon County
Programs: provide education on how to cook low-cost healthy meals, nutrition, food budgeting, food safety, and shopping strategies to low-income families who are at the risk of hunger.
