Mission: The P.H. was incorporated in 1994 by Wadene McClenney. In 1988, Ms. McClenney had a dream of a large building with many rooms. She thought it was a shelter for the homeless. That was the first of many dreams. That same year her 16-year-old daughter became pregnant. Through her pregnancy, a burden and compassion for pregnant teenagers was birthed in her. Teenagers whose parents would not help them. Instead, of loving them, they rejected them. A burden to work with teenagers in an effort to keep them from getting caught up into the rut of repeat pregnancies.
