Mission: Organizing and promoting the development of youth soccer teams.
Programs: During the reporting period portland city united (pcu) provided playing opportunities for 750 players ages 10-19. Pcu also provided playing opportunity for 120 players ages 7-9 in our youth development program. This number of players translates into 63 teams in the u11-u20 age group and 11 teams in the ydp program. To field these teams pcu organized tryouts, hired qualified coaches and secured field space for practice and games. Pcu also coordinated travel for 13 teams to san francisco, 2 teams to los angeles and 14 teams to seattle for tournament play. This past years pcu summer classic tournament hosted 212 teams from all over the northwest. The llc "sports field management" manages the two fields at buckman field and the fields located at delta park. The llc is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the fields including but not limited to scheduling, fee collection, marketing, security and maintenance. The llc "delta development company" manages the development of the eastmoreland sports club (esc). Esc provides pcu with indoor futsal soccer courts, strength and conditioning equipment, and soccer tennis courts. Delta development company is in charge of marketing, membership, construction and maintenance of the facility. Substantially all the funds of the organization were used to promote and carry out the foregoing activities.
