My family has attended two of the Portland Choir and Orchestra’s performances and they were both outstanding. This organization is very talented and uplifting.

I have been singing with the Portland Choir and Orchestra since 2015 and love it! Our choir conductor, David Thomas, is so talented in developing unique and compelling concerts. He stretches me a singer to do more than I thought I was capable of doing. I am thankful for the entire leadership of the PCO in the time they put in making this a successful organization!

I was so impressed with the staff and high quality of the performance. I was really moved and got quite emotional throughout the evening.

I have enjoyed the music of Portland Choir & Orchestra for over a decade. Their performances are of the highest caliber. Their selections are uplifting and enjoyable. Each concert is so different from the next.
The 40's big band concert was especially enjoyable. Their guest artists are quite spectacular. Everything from Grammy award nominated violin artist, Jenny Oaks Baker, to local ballet companies and youth choirs.
Each concert is perfect for the whole family.

One of the things that has been so special about the Portland Choir and Orchestra, up and beyond the beautiful and inspiring music offered, has been the desire to reach out to the Portland area and beyond in providing service to those in need. One recent example was the invitation that was accepted by agencies working with refugees coming to Portland. These agencies brought informational material that their volunteers shared before and after the Ellis Island concert in the Spring last year. These organizations were also introduced during the opening of the performance to indicate the partnership we have with them. Members of the Choir and Orchestra donated time and materials to share with refugee families. It was just one way the Choir and Orchestra has served the needs of others.

I have sung with Portland Choir & Orchestra for nearly 15 years. All singers volunteer their time including travel time, some up to an hour each way, to attend rehearsals once a week for 2+ months prior to each concert. Why are our singers so committed? You will need to attend a concert to fully understand but short answer is the excellence & professionalism inspired by our artistic director, David Thomas.

I have attended the concerts that this wonderful group performs. The music is extremely well done and is very uplifting. I would recommend this choir to everyone who enjoys choral music.

Wonderful choir with very good performing skills.
This choir is made up from between 75-125 volunteers with choir and orchestra members. Their skill levels are between very good and professional musicians. Their music is uplifting, but I wouldn't say it is boring. Their pieces are challenging for the musicians but performed well.
If you enjoy good music, attend one of their concerts. You will be amazed. If it is near the Christmas season, I highly recommend their Christmas concerts.

They throw great professional concerts. I love hearing their inspirational music.

I have been singing with Portland Choir and Orchestra since fall of 2019. It has been joy to share my talents with others by making truly excellent music. Not only does it enrich my life to participate, it strengthens others by giving them an hour to let go of the hectic life many of us lead and be uplifted by music that inspires.
