Mission: To provide weekend food for food insecure children.
Programs: Weekend backpack buddies - provides elementary school children with a weekends worth of food. Serves 307 children for 35 weekends of the year.
school pantry program - provides emergency food for students and families in middle and high schools and in community centers. Serves about 2700 individuals.
summer backpack buddies - provides fresh fruit and non-perishables to children at risk for homelessness in durham public schools. Serves 320 children during the summer months.
