Mission: To promote positive relationships between law enforcement and youth through community based education programs and recreational opportunities.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 3,000 youth
Geographic areas served: Southwest Washington
Programs: Prospere: A middle school and high school small group mentoring program, currently operating in 12 schools. Literacy: Each month, September through June we visit three elementary schools somewhere in Southwest Washington. We provide a safety lesson, an officer reads a book and youth take home a book of their choice. Each event gives away approximately 100 books. Sport Tournaments: PAL partners with local elementary schools to encourage after school soccer and basketball programs. PAL then hosts a tournament series for youth to play against other teams. Summer Camps: Every summer we provide a series of science and sport camps for youth. We even host a teen camp called CSI Vancouver where teens solve a crime. Backpacking: Each summer we partner with Big City Mountaineers to take teens on a 7-day backpacking trip. We currently do one guys trip and one ladies trip.
