Play Music-Enjoy Life

When a service you have or you go to asks you to write a review "if you don't mind" I usually never do. I don't like them pushing me to say something nice when it should be up to me to have that idea. However, this is a charity, they need everyone to tell their story when possible and when it's this good, it has to be mentioned. The class was a saturday afternoon (yesterday August 31) in Los Angeles, there were 8 of us and it was the most fun I've had and most enjoyable hour of music and laughter I've known for a long time. Excellent, excellent and excellent. Thrilled beyond what I ever imagined.

Ok. I (we) took a class with this company yesterday. After what I've been through (health) I am simply not impressed with ANYTHING. I don't like being with other people, I don't like being in a small room with loud music and a lot of talking and I REALLY don't like being told I should smile, relax and be happy. That now off my chest, if someone would have introduced me to this class, these people, this music and this MUCH fun when I was going through my treatments, after being told by my doctors that I was likely going to be dead by now, I would have given them every dime I had. I was SO against going to this, SO not into the concept of being "happy" and SO not looking forward to "wasting an hour" I'd never get back, I had a BAD attitude and "pissed off" disposition when we went in. Not exactly an ideal student! Ric and Troy were the best and they would have been a better doctor for me if they knew medicine because their "bedside manner" was the best I've ever experienced. Still singing a day later, still smiling (a little every so often, which is more than before) a day later and still fascinated that this worked! Accolades all around. These guys and this program are one of a kind and we're donating today to this so more people can be part of it. I'm seriously beyond words, although you'd never know it by this review right? Keep this going forever guys.

We were supposed to attend a fundraiser for this Charity months ago but it was canceled due to weather, then we learned the concert hall later closed for good so they couldn't reschedule there, but they just came into our area on Monday and we took the class. Wow! What an enjoyable time!

Just got out of a class. Feel like a new woman! Like a "rock star" like they said I would. Boyfriend, Sam, loved it but I think it's better than that. Changed my whole outlook. Thanks Play Music peeeps!

I have to say how we embraced this and were thrilled with the program. God bless these musicians and therapy people. A memorable experience. Went with cousin.

We did a "reunion class" today . YES! YES YES! Wife loved it too!

It's been a few years since we last took the class, but after Covid and the last couple years recovering etc, we needed something to make us forget our problems and just smile. This is THE most amazing thing. So glad they're still doing it.

came back for a class for first time since before pandemic. Well worth it. Great teachers, had time to relax, get our minds off all the crap the pandemic started and we still have to deal with. Laughed, clapped, sang and smiled whole time.

What a useful and enjoyable program. Can't imagine a better way to give people "hope and escape". So much fun

I play piano and was against this. I was wrong. Haven't seen my wife and daughter this happy in years.

Brought my cousin from Wisconsin to take class last week. Just got over Cancer for 3rd time. Loved it! Wants to do it more! When are you guys expanding number of classes? We need more.

We took this class last fall for the first time and recommended it to some friends that were going through a tough time. We all took it recently and LOVED it! Fab!

First and foremost, this is NOT your typical piano lesson - it was great to be making music so easily! We are laughing and clapping and just have a great time!

It is my hope that more people get to experience this class - you relieve stress and just enjoy your self!

OK ...I can attest to this program and its wonderful effect on its participants AND staff since I was fortunate to originally create it and launch it back in 2013! We lost my Mom 4 years ago today. It absolutely devastated me at that time and still has a deep and saddening hold on me every day even though I am fortunate to have a great family and a great life. To see our students smile and applaud, actually play the piano and sing along with each lesson, to see them "hope and escape" as was always and still is our constant goal and wish for each and every one of them, truly warms my heart. Mom, if your seeing this from your view in Heaven, please know that your love, inspiration and grace will ALWAYS be what I strive for, hope for, try for and am grateful for. You have my never ending love and respect. I miss you every day and thank God that we can smile and add "hope and escape" to those involved in this program, whether as a student, donor, volunteer or staff member.

My friend K told me to join her for this class because I needed a break from going to funerals and just getting over COVID myself. So, I tried it. It was very good, fun and relaxing. We laughed and played the piano. I never played the piano before and they got me to feel like I could play. Very good class

It was by chance that I met up with this organization through a friend, and I'm glad I did. The power of music is strong when it comes to keeping the mind active and finger agile. Before taking on what seemed like an impossible task of learning piano, I was fairly listless and lacked enthusiasm and motivation for a daily routine. Since getting behind the keyboard (I bought a new Yamaha digital piano), I have had daily enjoyment and even became an inspiration to others who had the same trepidation as I did initially. How about that, me, an inspiration. Ha! I'll keep up with this as it is not only good for me - mind and body, but it brings me sheer joy.

I had the opportunity to take the class - we were laughing and relaxing and enjoyed ourselves SO much!! We really felt like rock stars...������

Just started working with this charity again after a long Covid break (as is with so many companies). Great attitude, great classes and the students love these people and the classes they teach. Everybody laughs, sings, claps and smiles. Play Music Enjoy Life rocks.

After I made it through the "Covid year" I wanted to help my good friend and "sister" to somthing uplifting because she lost a dear friend to Covid and was pretty down about it. I checked to see if Play Music was offering any classes in the area and we signed up for one. They are THE best music class ever! She came out of the class singing and smiling. Throughout the pandemic, I was fortunate to watch this organization continue to help people whenever possible, stay focused on assisting those in need and looking forward to when they could resume their great work. It is an inspiration and such an uplifting group of people and talent. I hope it continues forever!

This is a wonderful program!

I am disabled and given all of the challenges I face each and every day, I needed to find something meaningful. I desperately needed something that provided a means of escape and allowed me to lose myself for a brief time in something fulfilling and JOYFUL.

Music (in my opinion) is the one GIFT we have all been given in life which can completely and utterly transform us. Music has the power to alter our moods, our perspectives and our hearts.

Through Music and Wellness, PMEL provides a tremendous amount of healing: physically, mentally, psychologically and spiritually and I HIGHLY recommend this program as it has provided much healing for me.

I was relaxed and the time just flew by...it definitely helps in forgetting about any stress you might have - I look forward to taking another class soon!

Great classes! I recommend them to everyone I know. Very informative at a good pace (not too slow/quick, and not too involved). Music really helps to stimulate my brain and keep my mental faculties in top working order. I feel energized after each class and look forward to the next one. I have really enjoyed the lessons - not only learning a lot, but meeting others who share my interests.

Just finished a one day special class with this charity. They were so careful about Covid safety and the founder himself taught the class. it was great! Hope to do it again soon when we all get back to normal. Thanks for the great class.
