I've been attending virtual presentations and receive monthly newsletters by PBNM for over 2 years. The content is always relevant and understandable. It's packed with helpful health information as well as tips and tricks to stay on the path. I appreciate the recipes included in the presentations and newletters. The links to other programs are very helpful as well. I don't feel as if I'm on this plant based journey alone.
When you live in an area that does not have any other people who eat whole food plant-based and no restaurants that serve anything remotely healthy, it is important to be supported with caring people that are concerned about human health and the health of the earth. This group has activities every month plus they record so you can see presentations that you might have missed live.
For those who are curious about eating plant-based whole food or someone interested but doesn't know where to start, as well as for those who are already eating plant-based whole food, this organization offers a like-minded community that educates and supports this lifestyle wherever on the spectrum people are. PBNM is leading the charge on making affordable, healthy, planetary- and animal-friendly choices easy and delicious. It's an organization that focuses on evidenced-based, scientific-inquiry about wellness while making it accessible, practical, and "digestible" for the layman. There's a saying "If you want to see where your'e going to be in 5 years, look @ your five closest friends and average them together". @ PBNM those 5 closest friends are vibrant, engaged, influencers whose mission is to "grow a healthy child", community, and planet.

I've been involved with PBNM since its inception and have been so very proud of the work we are doing, the people we are touching and, hopefully, the positive impact we are having. I've met and talked to many hundreds of people at our various public events (including group meetings, picnics, and other gatherings), who've shared their experiences with me. In my own case, learning about WFPB (Whole Food Plant-Based) eating made a profound impact on my health...rather quickly dropping my high cholesterol (which I'd had for years) from 276 to 132, reversing my pre-diabetes (when had been getting more and more serious as time went on) to the point where I'm no longer pre-diabetic with a healthy A1C, getting my high blood pressure in check, and, over the course of about a year, shedding 85 unwanted pounds. Being surrounded, whether in person or "virtually", has been a great help!
PBNM is passionate about providing people with the education and support needed to avoid or even reverse chronic medical conditions through a whole foods, plant based diet. As we expanded our reach in the community, we recognized that certain groups were at greater risk than others (inner city, children), due to so-called "food desserts" or lack of control over their food choices. and have created programs specifically to address their unique issues. Through a unique blend of in-person and online events, PBNM is helping to turn the tide against the epidemic of heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions caused by poor diet.
PBNM is an outstanding organization committed to spreading the word about the benefits of a whole food plant-based lifestyle. From monthly support groups and presentations to cooking demos and food drives, this organization provides a wealth of knowledge to empower and support people in making healthy lifestyle changes. I, personally, have received overwhelming support from this organization and its members.
My husband and I have been involved with PBNM from day 1. It has been an amazing organization in spreading the word of the lifestyle we live which is whole food plant based no oil lifestyle. They organize different events to encourage folks to switch to this lifestyle by giving scientific benefits. PBNM is just getting started and sky is limit. As a nurse and educator, I've found Plant Based Nutrition Movement really fills a need in our community for research-based nutrition information as well as fellowship and support.
