Planetfesto is an incredibly creative site for building awareness of the beauty and fragility of our planet, and viewing the banner of photographs brings these issues front and center. Wouldn't it be amazing to see this everchanging ribbon of images in our public spaces -- airports, arenas, Times Square? A simple idea that accomplishes a lot. Check it out.

This is a great project to help build awareness about the environment. I've spent a lot of time on the site reading what others have posted and looking at the amazing pictures posted. The point of it all? We've got to change our relationship with the planet. If we neglect or remain adversaries it will be at great cost. Time for a new era to begin. Great place for students and for environmental education projects.

Great, subversive idea: let's get 262 million people all over the world to build a virtual ribbon around the world that makes the subversive point that 1) this planet is worth loving and 2) we can all help. Pieces of the ribbon from over 56 countries so far...many from schools and kids. Gorgeous, fun, inspiring, and attempting to approach the environment from both a left and right brain perspective.
