Causes: Community Improvement & Capacity Building
Mission: To provide a wholesome family fair incorporating educational and entertaining activities and to generate year round usage of our facilities. In accomplishing this mission we will continually improve our business processes and address the needs of our community and customers.
Programs: The placer county fair has been held annually since 1937 to celebrate the best the local communities have to offer. The fair programs support agricultural focused education programs linked to local schools, agircultural and children's programs. The fair encourages an atmosphere of community involvement throught service and participation with quality local and regional entertainment.
the all american speedway offers car racing in the greater sacramento area from march through october. Attendance approaches 45,000 patrons annually. The all american speedway has provided a professional racing program since 1955, offering the fastest and most heavily attended racing facility in northern california
the placer county fairgrounds is available to the community year round for a variety of activities. The buildings and grounds provide a suitable venue for such events as festivals, car shows, trade shows, banquets, fundraisers, and wedding receptions. In addition, the fairgrounds has long term leases with two private schools, the national guard, and a remote control car recreation center.
the placer county fair association helps provide a community gathering place with the running and up keep of the fairgrounds for all to use.
