This organization is beyond amazing! Pioneer61 helps many diverse groups in their village of Tete, Mozambique. They help rescue and equip women out of human trafficking and provide food, shelter, safety and an education for many of the local homeless “street boys”. What I love most about giving to this organization is knowing 100% of my donation goes directly to helping the people Pioneer61 serves each day. The Boyd’s are great stewards of the financial gifts they receive and prayerfully consider where to allocate each dollar for its greatest impact. Pioneer61 is a blessing to SO MANY. I’m glad my family can be a small part of all the great things they are doing to help others through our donations. It is very humbling.

I have visit Pioneer61 twice both times being totally blown away by their love for Christ and how this flows into everything they do. Their love for people, freedom and family is beyond anythings I have ever experienced. Not only do they love but they empower - women in their freedom and their ability to provide for their families and children to achieve their best in a family that love them. Being with them changed my life, changed the way I view family, unconditional love, saying yes to the call of God and walking in favour. It has come with incredible heartbreak and loss yet they continue to love, empower and teach. No words describe what Nick and Marlene do day today, but they are changing the world.

We love Pioneer61 and everything they represent! They rescue people of all ages and actively seek to sow Jesus into the lives of everyone they come into contact with all over their city, but all over the world as well. I have never met Nick and Marlene in person but feel like I know them personally be seeing them be the hands and feet of Jesus through their ministry. I am a proud support of Pioneer61 and The Freedom Closet!

P61 is an amazing organization. Nick and Marlene have run this base well from when they had nothing to now having some of their biggest dreams starting to come true before their eyes. They steward the things God gives them well and that is why He blesses them. They lead the children they rescue beautifully. They are the most respectable and honoring young boys I've met, especially knowing where they have come from, it is truly a testiment of how well they have been loved and discipled. All other projects run here are such a joy to be involved in and I highly recommend you plugging in whether that be in prayer, financially, or coming to serve!

Pioneer61 is a great nonprofit founded by two independent missionaries, Nick and Marlene Boyd. They have built a home for boys who were living in on the streets and eating from a garbage dump in Mozambique, Africa. They have faced many obstacles that would have sent most young couples running back to the USA. They live by faith and feel that this mission is their destiny.

Marlene felt a call to rescue women who have been forced into prostitution. She began the White As Snow ministry in the brothels of Tete, Mozambique. Many of these women now work making jewelry that is sold to provide an income for the women and their children.

Many of the small villages around Tete had no clean water. Pioneer61 had wells drilled to give the villagers clean water.

Each day these amazing young missionaries feed 85 people with nutritious food, not just rice and beans.

I could go on telling you about the work that this nonprofit does and all of their accomplishments and their goals for the future. If you are interested in learning more, please go to their website: Pioneer61.org or look up Nick Boyd on Facebook.
