I was asked to MC for a charity event held a couple of years ago for Pinups for Charity. Pinups is an amazing non-profit that helps with numerous different causes throughout the year, by selling posters and calendars. That year, the proceeds went to purchase a service dog for a young man who had a medical condition which caused him to wander off from his home and parents. As service dogs are trained and are very expensive, Pinups for Charity decided to have a Calendar Release Party, where all proceeds went to the child's family to help purchase the animal. There were 6 live performances from music to dance groups, a silent auction, and all sorts of fundraising activities at Herman's Hideaway in Denver. It was a class-act event, they had a great turnout, and raised enough money to purchase the dog for the young man who really deserved and needed it! Special thanks to Danielle Jimenez and all of the pinup models for their amazing work. Their organization continues to use their non-profit to help those in need. I hope to be able to work with them in the future in whatever capacity I can!

We are forever grateful to partner with this group and together make a difference in our community!
These wonderful women have supported us and our community for several years. They have a deep dedication to helping individuals and families in a profound way. But more than just working toward a cause they've dedicated to, they also lend their hearts to worthy causes assisting other nonprofits. We are proud and honored to work with Pinups for Charity.
Where to start...
3 years ago, my husband and I were the parents of a son freshly diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. He was a danger to himself, constantly running away and slipping out of our home. Banging his head on the floor and shrieking and crying happened everyday, all day. We were scared and overwhelmed and of course went to Google to start looking for the best things to help our situation. One of the ideas was a service dog for kids with ASD which would provide tethering capabilities for public outings, trailing of scents in case he did get away from us, deep pressure on his body for when his senses were overloaded and friendship/emotional support to our son. We started a GoFundMe really meant for friends and family who had expressed their desire for wanting to help us with our sweet boy. One day I got an unexpected email from the Pinups for Charity. I remember opening it and feeling like the wind had been knocked out of me. They had noticed our story and wanted to help us in fundraising the $10k+ that it was going to cost for a dog that could changes our lives.
That year we were supported by our friends and family near and far and locally by the Pinups for Charity. We were a military family stationed in Colorado away from all of our family. We definitely didn't have the money that was required to obtain this dog. The GoFundMe was doing okay but there was no way we could have raised the whole amount on our own. These ladies swooped in, scooped us up in their loving arms and selflessly dedicated their time and energy to helping us. I've never been affected directly by a charity like that before and it was so humbling and amazing. Lots of tears (happy and grateful ones) for these women and the love and generosity they showed us.
We have been waiting a long time to get this dog as there were certain age requirements before my son could be matched. But here we are, 3 years later and about to receive Ranger in the next couple of months. He's completely paid for and we are able to relax a little and enjoy watching our son make his first friend without the looming cloud of us going into debt over it.
It's going to be so incredible for my son to be able to go out in public, tethered to his new friend, and have the independence any 5 year old should have. We won't have to worry about him darting off in the store while we are looking for something to buy, resulting in us bolting after him, trying to catch him before he goes out a door and into a parking lot. Ranger will be there, lying down, preventing him from running. When our son has a major meltdown in that same store, lying on the floor screaming and crying, Ranger will be able to go over and lay his body across his to try and soothe him. These are just a couple of examples of our everyday lives that make going into public difficult. Ranger is going to make all of this so much easier on our family.
This ended up being longer than intended but truly, honestly, the women in this charity group have hearts of gold and blessed us in ways beyond our imagination. Thank you, ladies... From the bottom of our hearts, now and forever. We will never, ever forget what you did for us.
All of our love,
Pinups For Charity is an amazing organization. They have chosen our family to help this year as we work to raise money for our little boy (diagnosed with autism last year) get a service dog. They have been incredibly helpful, giving and all around caring for us and our little man. They are such a blessing!
These Ladies are amazing and the size of their heart shows in every event they host. Their event was very well put together and the atmosphere was inviting. I donated an item to be auctioned off, and they made it very easy to receive the items I won from the event ! It was a pleasure meeting them.
I am IN AWE of these gals! So much fabulous energy and dedication to the cause. And unlike so many, the money they raise goes to the people in need.
I love working with these ladies! I cannot wait to continue helping them with their cookbook project this year. Professional, kind, outgoing and all around hardworking and amazing folks. There genuine love for their recipients is inspriring.
I have seen first hand the amount of work these girls do to help their community. They spend so much time helping others that a simple review is really not enough recognition they deserve for their efforts. More communities need organizations like pinups for charity. For them it truly is a labor of love, and it shows with everything they do.
I think this is a great organization run by some pretty fantastic people . They raise money for really great causes. I have donated my jewelry several times and I would be more than happy to continue to help again in the future.

I absolutely love this non-profit and what it has done the past two years for some amazing Colorado families. It started with a small group of women wanting to help a friend raise money, and has turned into an awesome way to help someone locally each year with calendar sales, car washes, bake sales and many other kinds of events. The ladies work hard at every event and always have great volunteers that help make it happen. With some help from GivingTuesday, I truly believe they could use the funds to help the next family they will choose for 2016.
Review from #MyGivingStory
I've worked with these ladies as a business and and attended their events as a patron. The passion they show toward their recipients and drive to be the best is unmatched. They are kind, compassionate, and honest: traits you don't genuinely see in many nonprofit organizations these days.
Everything the ladies in this organization do is to the upmost professional. I see true commitment to their cause and they seem to really enjoy what they do. My company and I support them to the fullest we can. We endorse Pinups For Charity.
These girls put heart and soul into every event!! One of the best nonprofit groups I have ever been involved with!
This organization does what they say and is amazing at doing it, too!
This organization is amazing! They are friendly, organized, committed, and amazing!
I just started volunteering with them and I can't wait to be involved in more events!
Amazing ladies working hard for free to make sure they can help those in need. No job is too small and they take the task on with enthusiasm and look for new ways to inspire people to participate and donate.
The hard work these girls put into this charity goes above and beyond ! They are all incredibly hardworking and they're an inspiration to us all !!
