Participated in the 2nd annual 5K event. It was a fun way to support the cause. The care and support they provide to breast cancer patients is noteworthy.
I went to pink diva 5k this passed week-end and found the most fun and loving people there. People just finishing their chemo were cheered. I was a day to have some fun and help us that needed cheering up! Thanks to the diva's hard working team!
My family and I participated in the Pinkalious Divas 5K at Los Gatos Creek Trail on October 3 and had a great experience. Everything was well marked and loved getting the water at the halfway point and all of the encouragement on the walk. We really appreciate folks out there going the extra for people going through cancer treatment.
I became aware of Pinkalicious Divas through VMOC. I met the members of the organization and the mother of one of the girls at the PinkDiva 5K. The ladies who run the organization are so warm and welcoming. Their chemotherapy kits are pretty awesome. Keep up the good work ladies!!
I attended their 5K race and I was delighted to learn that a smaller non-profit organization was actually using some of the proceeds to support local breast cancer research efforts. Directors are volunteers and they actually give back to the local community - thumbs up!!
I met a member of this organization while sitting with my wife at VMOC. A girl walked in and offered a bag full of personalized goodies and a crossword puzzle. It brought a smile on my wife's face. The nurse told us that one of their physicians was on the board and that they started the organization after losing a family member to breast cancer. These ladies are angels. May God bless you!
I recently attended the Pink Diva 5K and learned that Pinkalicious Divas were the organizers. I got to meet several of their board members and was really impressed by the work they do for chemo patients. I'm planning to volunteer for them when time permits.
I met these ladies at the Mushroom Mardi Gras. I talk to them to learn more about their organization, as a member of my family is battling breast cancer. The blonde lady and girl with short hair were definitely PINKALICIOUS! They turned my frown upside down and had me laughing. It was a great to meet such a great group of gals and I appreciate the advice they gave me on how to best support the patient. I wish nothing but good things for this organization.
I met Pinkalicious Divas at the Dove's Club luncheon last October. I have since volunteered for the organization distributing chemotherapy comfort kits throughout the SF Bay Area. I have attended a number of sessions where they speak about their mission. Through the loss of a sibling rises a cause full of unconditional love and support for our local community.
Personally, it feels great knowing that my efforts are making an impact on my local community. I'm looking forward to continuing to partner with Pinkalicious Divas.
I bumped into someone from this organization at a bake sale for Relay for Life. They told me about their services and asked how they could help our team with events. I emailed them a couple of weeks later and they were able to bring eight volunteers to help us at the Relay for Life event. They are a great group of ladies, I enjoyed working with them at the event. They were always smiling and willing to do whatever we needed.
I dunno about the comments on this site that allege they spoke to someone live at this organization. They don't appear to advertise a hotline, so I'm suspicious about those posts. Perhaps they are confused. Looking at their website, they offer on-line support, not phone support.
At any rate, the problem with this site and/or Yelp is that the identities are unverifiable. The only real way to verify a non-profit is to research their status on the IRS or through the Dept of Justice. According to the tax document posted on GuideStar, this organization brought in less than $10K last year. One could argue they need to be doing more solicitation of donations.
It is laughable that anyone would condemn a non-profit for asking for donations. Public support is a primary means of funding for any non-profit, large or small.
I am appalled at the negative reviews I see here. I had a family member that suffered and passed due to breast cancer. At the time she was receiving chemo treatments at a facility in Los Gatos, I came across some information regarding Pinkalicious Divas during one of her chemo appointments. Shortly after she had passed, I was going through some of her things reflecting on our journey and being there for her, through thick and thin and it was just then I remembered the information I had taken with me from that appointment on Pinkalicious Divas. I was feeling sad and felt the need to reach out to them for my own support. When I got home, I rummaged around and found it. I phoned the organization and left a voice message. Within 10 minutes, I received a call back from the founder Ms. Alarcon. She was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable about this disease and the aftermath it has on any family member. I wanted to do something in my sisters honor. Therefore, my first question to her was why she started this organization? She began to tell me her story. I immediately wanted to get involved, not only in honor of my sister, but because it amazed me at how a total stranger could be there and dedicate their personal time to help comfort a total stranger? Due to my schedule, I have not yet got involved but plan on attending many functions moving forward as a volunteer once I have grieved for the appropriate time. I have donated, not money but have knitted some caps and donated them to help some of the patients trying to survive this horrific disease. Shame on those of you for the negativity, May God Bless You! I recommend anyone to reach out to Pinkalicious Divias. They are a blessing to be here for all of us. I hope they grow and become stronger everyday. there are a lot of people suffering and sometimes all they need is just someone to talk to.
My niece asked me to post a review here since she made the call to this charity to help me and my wife. I sat next to her when she called and to my disbelief the person on the other end of the call sounded like she couldn't be bothered with her inquiries and most certainly did ask for a donation before abruptly ending the call. My wife and I have lived in San Jose for 48 years. We've donated our time and hard earned money to many causes for our community and I've never had anyone be so cold and rude. They don't deserve praise, they ought to be ashamed of themselves. No one should be talked to that way.
I have nothing but good things to say about this organization. They have never ask me for donations only how they can help. They gave support even after losing my loved one.
I have to agree with the first rating. I contacted this organization for help and whoever I spoke to was rude, didn't seem interested or have the time, or want to talk to me when i asked for advice. Seemed awfully interested in a donation tho. Think it's a big time scam. Probably the owner that wrong the glowing review. :-P

Last December, I reached out to this organization after my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I heard of Pinkalicious Divas through Good Sam Hospital. Pinkalicious Divas provided a bag to the hospital with items that helped provide comfort to my mom during our chemotherapy sessions.
I called and was able to meet with their founder, Connie Alarcon, within the hour. She was very comforting and provided my mom with great advice on ways to ease her pain. (Biotene - great tip!)
Five months later, Connie still calls to check-in on my mom. While they never asked me for a donation, we are grateful for their support. The interaction has been positive and non-intrusive.
