Mission: The primary purpose of the corporation is the research, detection, prevention, and treatment of cancer, including but not limited to breast cancer, with focus on cancer patients and cancer survivors located in central iowa. Nothwithstanding the foregoing, the corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes within the meaning of sections 501(c)(3) and 170(c)(2)(b) of the internal revenue code of 1986, as amended (or corresponding section of any future federal tax code)(the "code"), including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the code.
Programs: Provide financial support individuals with a cancer diagnosis to help relieve financial burden associated with cancer treatments and related expenses (i. E. , medical bills and co-pays, travel expenses for obtaining treatment, monthly bills due to inability to work, etc. )
provide financial support to susan g. Komen breast cancer foundation to support komen 3 day, which raises funds for breast cancer research, detection and education.
