Mission: The PFMC, successor to Journeys of Faith Pilgrimages, was established for the purpose cited above and incorporated in 1991. The first pilgrimage was organized in 1989 after a calling to ministry on the part of Kathleen and Keith Werner. The need for a non-profit organization was realized by the number of people who could not afford to go on pilgrimage or to take their families on pilgrimage. The existence of the Sunshine Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House gave impetus to organizing to take critically ill people on pilgrimage. Material brought back from pilgrimage sites was made available to others for donations. Requests for items increased the demand to keep a more extensive inventory. Desire to stay informed led to the production of a monthly newsletter which has now become a non-profit periodical "The PILGRIM" produce at least 11 times per year. Space in private homes became scarce so a residential construction project with a major addition for the PFMC was undertaking. Mortgage and tax expenses have hit the operating budget quite hard.
