I'm blessed that I've been able to serve on the Phoenix Parks Foundation for the past two years. We accomplished a lot!! We've been able to fill in the some of the gaps created by the budget cuts impacts upon the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department. We raised enough funds to repair a trail, bring back some Phoenix Afterschool Center (PAC) programs, provide mini-grants for a few creative Park programs, and a scholarship. Board members have also helped at Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department events. We do what we set out to do and are aiming to do more.
