I wasn't looking to adopt right away, but when I found Boba I knew she was for me. She was afraid of people at first, so PPA allowed me to foster her in case it didn't work out. It didn't take long for her to get warmed up to me and my partner, and about a week into having her we wanted to adopt her. PPA was very communicative and quickly responded and made sure Boba was doing okay. I would recommend using them and will use them again if I decide to adopt more cats in the future.
Got our rottie mix almost 2 yrs ago from Pflugerville Pets Alive and he is part of our family for sure! He is the sweetest, most loving dog and best friends with our chihuahua. Actually, he thinks he’s a lap dog too! Ha! These volunteers have a heart of gold and are truly dedicated to these rescues. Thank you PPA!
We started with PPA as fosters. Our very first foster was a pitbull who had been at the local shelter for two months and was labeled as "dog reactive". We foster-failed with him and he's changed our lives! We've continued working with PPA fostering a few more dogs and volunteering. They are an amazing organization who really cares about the animals in the community. Not only do they work to get pets out of shelters but they work to help people keep the pets they have so they don't end up in shelters. They do amazing, thankless work.
We got our Yogi from PPA and we couldn’t imagine life without him!
PPA is a great organization run by people with BIG hearts. Many thanks to all the volunteers, for what they do for PPA and the Pflugerville community.
Rescued a husky mix puppy from PPA. They were really great to work with. Rocko is one of the best dogs I have ever had! I’ve been talking to other people who are thinking of adopting and have been recommending PPA to them.
PPA is a very responsible and caring organization run by dedicated volunteers and fosters.
I got my best friend from them and can't imagine life without this fella.
thank you to PPA for saving him and finding him for me.
PPA is a completely volunteer run rescue organization. The foster mom who took in our Anna Banana (fka Flowers) was completely overwhelmed, as her own dog just had hip surgery. But Annie was on the kill list and the amazing volunteers at APA knew they had to save her. Thanks APA for saving my best friend!
As Hurricane Harvery hit Texas, I felt overwhelmed to help displaced animals that were suffering and in need of foster. PPA rescued so many animals and begged for emergency help during Labor Day to take in fosters. Having never foster and already owner of big protective dog and kitty, we were skeptical, but wanted to volunteer. Late at night these brave volunteers had struggled thru flood waters, long drives and chaotic conditions to save these animals. The Husky that we fostered eventually became a part of our family and we adopted her. No words for how amazing PPA is for our community.
Pflugerville Pets Alive is like a small family. They take the time to be sure every animal is a good fit for their new home. They truly love and take care of all the animals in the program and never give up on hard cases. I always recommend Pflugerville Pets Alive to anyone looking for a new fur baby or looking to foster!
Wonderful experience working with PPA. I've seen so many pets go to great homes because of this service.
Pflugerville Pets Alive is an amazing organization. Not only does this foster based non for profit do what they can to save homeless animals, they band the community together. They continue to educate animal owners and future owners to ensure all family members are doing their part to create a safe and healthy environment.
Every one on this team is amazing! Nothing but great things to say about everything they do for the community
They were super friendly, informative, and helpful! They let me hold the kitten and I fell in love. They had me do paperwork to make sure I was a good home, which is wonderful. They had an answer to all my questions about adoption and necessities I needed for my kitten. Hades came home with me and I couldn't be happier!
Thanks to Pflugerville Pets Alive, I was able to adopt my best friend, Bowie. Pflugerville Pets Alive took the time to interview us, introduce us to the foster family, and they took an active role in making sure that not only would Bowie be a match for us, but that we'd be a match for him. To think that this poor little boy was found wandering the streets alone. I hate to think what would have happened without Pflugerville Pets Alive! I would recommend anyone looking for a new best friend look no further than Pflugerville Pets Alive!
Excellent group of individuals dedicated to helping dogs and cats who are in need of a good home. I have had the pleasure to foster cats through PPA and always received amazing support. I am thankful for the hard work and dedication of the staff and volunteers at PPA.
As a resident of Pflugerville and volunteer with a background in Animal Rescue, I am truly amazed by the work that Pflugerville Pets Alive (PPA) does. PPA not only rescues dogs and cats from the local shelter, they have taken a proactive approach by launching programs in the community to provide the resources and education needed to keep pets in their homes. I've witnessed their dedication countless times and am proud to support this organization.
As a resident of Pflugerville, I have been amazed at all the good work Pflugerville Pets Alive has done in the community and surrounding areas. Executive Director Kim Waters has built an incredible team. They rescue cats and dogs, spay and neuter community pets, and provided the resources needed for responsible pet ownership. They have not only saved the lives of pets at the shelter, they have also worked to keep pets out of the shelter.
I love Pflugerville Pets Alive! They are a wonderful organization to volunteer with and I have adopted 2 cats from them too.
I started volunteering with Pflugerville Pets Alive a couple of months ago and I love it. The PPA cause is important to me because I'm a huge animal lover and they can't speak up for themselves so they need us to do it for them. I've seen dogs that were in a teeeible situation and were rescued by PPA who now live a full and happy life. I also really like that PPA isn't a shelter; all animals are kept in foster homes where they are given love, attention, and cuddles while they wait for their forever home. Volunteering with them is great - I get to hang out with dogs and cats every weekend while I help make a difference in these animals lives. Pflugerville Pets Alive! is full of volunteers that care about its cause and they want to be out helping in any way they can.
This organization is all about helping the pets of Pflugerville. They go above and beyond. Might be a little slow on some things - help them by volunteering!
This organization does an exceptional job finding homes for homeless pets & their volunteers are enthusiastic and very helpful!
I have been a volunteer with PPA for about 6 months, and in this time I have met many volunteers and members of the organization who truly know what it means to give. Animals rescued by Pflugerville Pets Alive are fostered in loving and caring homes, and the founders of the organization strive to not only place PPA pets in the best FURever homes, but also to educate and advocate for rescue efforts. Efforts are funded by donations from the community and adoption fees. PPA animals are loved and cared for from the moment they enter the rescue. This is a wonderful organization!
My husband and I used to go the Pflugerville Pets Alive at Rogness. The dogs at the event were always well behaved, sweet, and well taken care of. One night, a very friendly and confident beagle came up to us cuddled her way into our hearts. We decided to foster her and can now vouch for their integrity and professionalism. They are quick to respond to questions, take very good care of the foster pets, and are genuinely dedicated to the cause.
I have been a foster with Pflugerville Pets Alive for about a year. The care and attention for the animals has amazed me. Anything the animals need they get. The number of adoption events they hold is amazing. I feel like almost every weekend there is an event to promote the fosters. Great job Pfluverville Pets Alive!
This is a remarkable organization with dedicated and caring volunteers and fosters who have found homes for pets that otherwise would not have been in loving homes. Very community involved and they work to provide community outreach for those who are in need.
