Rescues dogs that no one else will take and rehabilitates them. Well cared for and able to roam on the facility freely once they are trained. This rescue is like no other. I would suggest making a visit to see for yourself.

I am a regular volunteer at Pets Return Home and I find it truly amazing what they do there. With over 50 dogs Mark is still able to care for each one, know their personality and adjust their behaviors as well as making sure they are in good physical condition. Many dogs have found their forever homes via PRH, some that had previously been deemed unadoptable by other rescues. Those who do have ongoing issues are given permanent sanctuary at the ranch. There is no where else quite like it. Puppies to old timers, there is a dog to steal your heart at Pets Return Home.

Mark Happe loves dogs. He lives for them, he knows what he does is a difficult calling a heartbreaking calling and a rewarding calling.
Pets return home is a really great place for our community. People who for whatever reason can't keep their dogs, he will take them and re home them. He takes unwanted pregnant dogs and takes care of them, vaccinates and
Gets all the dogs altered before adoption. He throws adoption events that are organized and fun!

Mark gave us a great puppy. He was concerned about his health and made sure that spay and neuter is given a priority. Wonderful care and treatment of his 'flock.' He also reviews applications thoroughly to make sure his puppies go to adequate and caring homes with yards. I would recommend Pets Return Home to anyone who is looking to adopt a puppy.

Pets Return Home is run by an incredibly experienced "dog whisperer" who understands training, behavior and the importance of being compassionate and supportive to all dogs. He recognizes the issues in dog adoption community and works 110% to get these pets ready for adoptive homes. On a huge ranch, these dogs get the foundation that they have been missing all their life. I have seen so many of the dogs he has worked with find loving, permanent homes. These are the underdogs, the ones who wouldn't have made it without Pets Return Home.

I have been following Pets Return Home for years now. This pet rescue and rehabilitation facility is particularly wonderful. It takes hard to train dogs, wolf mix pups and a variety of dogs that are deemed "unadoptable" by some as well as canines that no other shelter or pound wants. Their comprehensive programs turn these neglected, abused and misunderstood dogs into loving family companions. The impact that Pets Return Home has on the surrounding community is astounding -- by team efforts with local authorities, shelters, pounds and the public, Pets Return Home is making a huge, positive change in so many ways to address pet overpopulation, improved adoption outcomes and all the benefits of a strong human/canine bond.

Pets Return Home was one of the first rescues that asked for references and took the time to follow up and call each and every one. They thoroughly asked about household members of all varieties and accommodated my family coming to visit on a different day than typically available. They were great with my small children and let them play with and love on all the pups. We found the right one for us and the love and commitment that Mark had and visible sadness to see a beloved friend get chosen was touching. They were available for questions and make the hard choices that were best for the pups. Mark offered to care for our pup himself when she got sick and gave us all the instructions to see her through. Our pups are amazing members of our family and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pets Return Home to anyone looking for a new family member.

We got our newest addition from Mark and he was very well cared for and adapted to his new pack easily. The sanctuary is a really neat place where all sorts of dogs can go for a second chance at life, or live out the rest of their days if need be. A wonderful organization that is much needed in the area!

Mark Happe is one of the most dedicated people I have ever met. He is dedicated to the cause of homeless dogs and finding them a furever home! We happen to have benefited from his efforts when we adopted Rose last March 17th. She is a beautiful red and tan, medium size dog, but her personality is what is so awesome! She is the sweetest thing ever! Our lives have truly been enhanced because of Mark's selfless life and dedication to these animals. God bless Mark Happe and Pet's Return Home!!!!!

Love Pets Return Home! Most of the work is done by Mark Happe. He is there 24/7/365. Mark works magic with even the worst dogs and has saved hundreds over the years. I adopted from PRH and volunteer when I can. I’d give PRH 10 stars if I could

Found Pets Return Home in March when my Tae Kwon Do group volunteered out there. What a great place! Mark works miracles with dogs that other people and places have written off. Since March, I’ve volunteered at several events and am currently taking a dog training class along with other volunteers to help socialize these beautiful dogs and get them ready for adoption. I cannot say enough good things about Mark and PRH!

I met Mark when I was transporting one of The Pets Return Home to his forever home in NM. Mark invited me to see the ranch. Of course, every time I have the opportunity to visit a rescue, I take it As a transporter, I have dealt with many rescues. I can honestly say, that Mark Happe and Pets Return Home, is by far the best I've worked with. I was so impressed by Pets Return Home, I started to volunteer at the ranch. At Pets Return Home, Mark has made sure that the dogs are comfortable. The kennel area has a covering so the Arizona sun isn't hitting the dogs. The temperature in the kennel area is comfortable year round. The kennels are kept very clean and sanitized. Each kennel is large, all of which are true, roomy, comfortable kennels. The bowls and water buckets are cleaned regularly and the food and treats are always covered. He has put a lot of thought into the design of all the areas of the ranch. There was a time I was fearful of pitbulls, never having dealt with any one to one. I feared them until I started volunteering at Pets Return Home. The very first interaction I had was with a pitbull named Nala. I was sitting on the couch, Nala came up, thinking she was a little dog tried her best to be a lap dog. All 70+ pounds of her. She is just lovable. Nala has since been adopted and doing wonderfully. I'm grateful to Mark for helping me realize that with the right training, socialization, and most importantly love, dogs, regardless of breed can be loving pets. Mark works tirelessly with each and every dog that comes to him. I know he does, because I've been there enough to have seen it. I am awed by the amount of energy and care Mark has for all of the dogs at Pets Return Home.

I met Mark Happe close to 4 years ago when I was transporting one of Pets Return Home dogs to the adopter. Mark invited me to visit the rescue. Visiting Pets Return Home was a very happy and eye opening experience. It is located in Clarkdale, AZ. After my initial visit, I have been back numerous times to volunteer. The dogs are happy, healthy, very well cared for and most importantly loved. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Pets Return Home would be a ideal model for rescues . Mark Happe is a man who truly walks the walk. He wants to make sure that every single dog that has a chance at rehabilitation at Pets Return Home is rehabilitated and able to be adopted to the right home. The dogs that for various reasons cannot be adopted out are offered sanctuary. For the years I have been going to Pets Return Home, the goal has always been the same. I was at one time very scared of pit bulls. That was until I started going to Pets Return Home. The last time I was there, I had one of the pitties her name is Nala, sitting right next to me, paw on my shoulder, so affectionate. so sweet. I thank Mark for introducing me to how wonderful this breed is. Last year, Mark and volunteers rescued 27 wolf dog pups and 7 moms. Preparations were made, all the dogs were evaluated, received health checks, any medical care needed, vaccines, neutering, and microchips. Mark made sure that every single person that showed an interest in adopting one of the wolf pups, knew about the breed and how to care for them. A lot goes into making sure the dogs get the training, exercise, play, and love they need. I write this review because Pets Return Home deserves the accolades. They operate with transparency, dedication, commitment and the love that help these otherwise hopeless dogs find their forever homes.

I've visited Pets Return Home on a few occasions and am impressed more every time. It's a really wonderful home for dogs of every breed, age and personality out there. There is plenty of open space for exercise, shelter for weather conditions and areas for care giving.

I've known Mark for over seven years and can vouch for his dedication, compassion and energy he's put into this. When I visit the dogs seem so happy and content, the trust and love that they have for him is evident. I am proud to be a supporter and friend and am thankful for his role in the community and everything he does for these animals in need!

We adopted our “Wrangler “ in May and he is a wonderful addition to our family. (Just ask our Great Dane and little mixed breed ). His mother was rescued and given a safe haven at Pets Return Home to have her pups. Our puppy was happy, healthy and well socialized with people and other dogs when we met him. This is a wonderful program with an awesome director and volunteers who really care and are committed to the dogs in their care

We got our baby Deuce from there and were so impressed how Mark and all his volunteers were with the dogs. Most shelters are just shelters; PRH is so much more! These dogs would be perfectly fine staying there forever and some in sanctuary situations do. They do a huge amount for all of them!

if you love dogs you will love Pets Return Home. They take on the dogs many other shelters leave behind. With love and positive reinforcement they work to train and rehabilitate each one as needed until they are adoptable. The facility is clean and well maintained with areas for every kind of dog needs including a maternity area. Many of the dogs roam freely around the ranch, a great dogs life. I liked the place so much I now volunteer.
These dogs are amazing and when you find one you want to take home odds are there is someone there to tell you about that dogs personality. If it's puppies you want they have them too. The dogs come to Pets Return Home from many sources, owner surrender, other rescues and organizations, strays, and euthanasia lists. Each is welcomed until they find their forever home. For dogs that are not considered adoptable they have a sanctuary program. They have successfully adopted out over 700 dogs! It is simply one of the best rescues around. Come check it out, and consider donating as well. Theses people and these dogs deserve our support.

My husband and I found Greyson at Pets Return Home. We drove out there and met Greyson. It was love at first side. Greyson came over and curled up by my feet. Mark Happe showed us around the facility. All the dogs were happy, healthy and well cared for. I would recommend adopting from Pets Return Home.

Pets Return Home is a unique dog rescue and rehabilitation facility. All the dogs who get along with each other are allowed to be out in the fenced property rather than be placed in separate kennels. It reminds me of a farm/ranch with dogs instead of cows, horses, etc. The dogs love to follow the volunteers around as they do their chores. This makes for great socialization with other dogs and people when they go to their forever home. Keep up the good work.

I love dogs and have a rescue fur baby of my own. Last year I read about how Pet's Return Home saved the lives of wolf mothers and their babies and I was immediately intrigued. I filled out an application to volunteer, really having no idea what to expect, and have been volunteering there ever since. Mark, who is the executive director, has created a safe and loving home for dogs who otherwise might be euthanized. He works with them to address behavior and socialization so that they can go to a forever home. His dedication is admirable as is the dedication of the many volunteers who work to help these dogs find a loving home. Each time I go I am greeted by a pack of wagging tails and happy faces. Working with Mark and the dogs is truly gratifying and there is nothing better than to see a dog find a loving family.

8 moths ago one of our buddies died. six months later we were looking for a friend for our other 8 yr old dog Pepper. I am partial to GS so we were looking for an older dog that was at least part GS. Somehow or other we heard about Pets Return Home & visited & left with 2 of the most wonderful German Shepherd mixes in the world! Gretchin 7 yrs old (now called Smiley Di), & Josh 9yrs old, fit right in withPepper, Max the cat, all the horses & us. They had become socialized at Pets Return Home to the point that our kids can bring their dogs over & there are no fights, something we were not used to LOL. Mark Happe & the volunteers did a great job with them. Also I want to add how impressed I was with the facility & the space the dogs have. The best!

It all began when I was tagged in a post to save a dog that was going to be euthanized if $10 wasn't paid within the hour. I left work headed over paid and then picked up the dog the next day. I took the dog to my vet and find out the dog wasn't sick but had an eye condition unique to Sharpi. I got the medicine needed to help relieve pain and help the dog until it could get surgery. Well the original rescue backed out but Pets Return Home stepped in, I transported the dog up to Cottonwood. Mark took the dog in and made sure he received the surgery he needed. While I have always adopted rescues this was the first time I was involved in literally saving a dogs life. I love being able to help transport dogs to the ranch or participate in a work day to help. What an awesome feeling. The unconditional caring Mark has for these dogs is unbelievable. I've watched first hand at the transformations. I've been working with Mark and Pets Return Home for over 5 years and do not regret getting in olved one bit. Wished I lived closer to help out more.

All of our family dogs but one, over 48 years of marriage, have been "rescues." So, when I discovered Pets Return Home at a community event and learned they are nearby our home in Sedona, I visited their website and applied as a volunteer. From my first visit to the PRH ranch in Clarkdale I knew I made a good choice. Mark Happe, founder and managing director, saw an unfilled need in the Arizona canine rescue community and created a great solution. Pets Return Home intakes dogs from shelters and rescue groups. Dogs typically come to PRH with at least two strikes against them. They usually are large breeds that stereotype as "dangerous." And they have one or more negative behavior issues (dog, people, food aggression(s), environmental insecurities, etc.). And sometimes we receive abandoned pregnant bitches. For the majority of these dogs Pets Return Home represents escape from euthanasia. PRH,s mission is to provide care to bring the dogs back to good health, provide rehabilitative behavior training and create and place healthy, happy lifetime companions in good homes. Over its six years in service to the community PRH has succeeded in its mission nearly 700 times. That's 700 dogs' lives changed, to say nothing of saved from death. Pets Return Home is 100% dependent upon private donations, grants and in-kind donations. PRH receives no governmental funding. We are 95% dependent upon volunteers to "run the business," from doody duty to repairs and maintenance to fund-raising. From dog walking to dog bathing to dog socializing. If you love dogs and believe Pets Return Home is filling a much needed role, I know that you can donate your cash or time with full confidence that both enrich the lives of our dogs, not our humans.

I found Pets Return Home when I was looking for a shelter to donate some blankets I had knitted. Mark was super nice and responsive, and with my first visit I was amazed that it wasn’t a typical shelter, it was a sanctuary and place where anxious or aggressive dogs can be socialized so they can be adopted instead of euthanized. I have had the opportunity to foster two dogs, and I just adopted Leah, who was there because she was “thrown away” when she was pregnant. PRH gave her a home to have and raise her puppies. The environment is more like a big family with lots of space for the dog-social dogs to roam free (plus an agility course!). PRH helps other shelters by taking in dogs that need to be socialized before adoption, freeing up space for another animal to be saved. PRH is not supported by the city or county as other shelters are; they are solely supported by donations, so please help!

I love dogs and wanted to help homeless dogs find a forever home. I saw Pets Return Home [PRH] on Facebook. I started working at the 'ranch' and in 2 months, I literally feel in love with the dogs and the process at PRH [we call it 'the ranch']. Mark Happe is very knowledgeable about handling dogs and most importantly rehabilitating them. He has turned very scared, seemingly aggressive dogs, to very loving dogs!! Honestly!!! Due to this, I have been very involved in volunteering there, I can't seem to get them out of my blood!!! I want to help those dogs as best I can. Helping Mark is helping the dogs. It has been a very rewarding experience.
