Took my cats in to get neutered because it was a great deal. DO NOT SAVE THE MONEY IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET. They have a disease in this building called distemper one of my kitty's is fighting for his life and my wife and I are petrified that the rest of our cats will get this horrible disease. The old man who runs the show has zero sympathy and actually said we'll he probably has distemper. Don't take your pets here if you care for them.
My wife and I went to PetSmart to look for a cat during Pet Paw See's adoption thing they do almost every Saturday. We saw a cat that we liked, but we went about our day. The next day, we were still thinking about the cat, so I decided to ask Pet Paw See if the cat we liked had been adopted. They wouldn't let us adopt a cat because the cat we chose needed a companion. At no point during the interactions with Pet Paw See did they say that the cat will only be adopted if you take another cat. They actually say that he would "adjust well to any other friendly animal." I am now blocked on Facebook, they won't reply to my two emails, and they didn't answer my phone call. Ever heard of a cat adoption agency that won't let you adopt their cats? Now you have.
Absolutely horrible people, I tried multiple times to get a cat. But "because I'm military" they won't let me adopt. They would rather let the cat get neglected in a 1x1 foot box then let it go to a happy healthy family. They profile like crazy and are absolutely disgusting. I've seen cats in those boxes months at a time. I hope this place gets shut down.
Do not ever adopt from this organization they will deny you right away. They don’t give you any kind of a chance to bond with the kitties. They are very crooked they would rather have the kitties locked up in a cage then adopt them out I will be going back to the heart of the Valley in Bozeman Montana
Pet Paw-See is amazing. They are so dedicated to their cats, seems their lives literally revolve around saving them!
Funny, people wanting to adopt complain about how strict they are, yet people seek out Pet Paw-See if they want to surrender their cat because they know it will find a good home if in their program.
If you are military, do not even consider this place. They stereotype military to abandon animals and will deny you before getting to meet you! Beyond that, they take too many precautions that other agencies do not go about and it will take days before you hear back about your application. That being said, they don’t really keep you updated and will avoid your calls, texts, and emails!
My husband and I had went above and beyond in trying to show and convince them that we were the perfect couple to adopt to. We went in multiple times to bond with the cats that we were interested in, we had went on a shopping spree and sent them an email with an attached image of all the home warming things we got for a new pet, and we got no response or update!! It hurts my heart to know they would rather keep the cats in a small, cubed living space than to give them a good home. The cats we were specifically looking at had been there already for three months and the employees at petsmart informed us that they definitely had many applications but we’re all denied because they were military.
UPDATE: it is nearly a month from when we tried to adopt the cute kitties, and my husband went to get our cat, that we adopted from the shelter, some food, and he noticed that the cats we had wanted were still there... so heartbreaking :(
Both my son and his family and my husband and I adopted kittens from this organization. We were told both kittens had tested negative for feline leukemia. A year later our kitten died and a week after their kitten died. Both kittens had to be put down as they were suffering from feline leukemia. It was a terrible shock to both families. I hope they have a better process for testing these kittens so future adopters don’t have to go through this heart breaking experience.
I start maternity leave in a couple weeks, I found an animal I feel in love with on there adoption list and sent them an email about it. Apparently they looked around my facebook (not sure how they found me but) they said they wouldn't adopt out to me for the sole reason that I am pregnant. Having a good place to raise an animal/nice house/yard and stable income to care for the animal meant nothing.
pet pawsee in great falls is not what it seems. my cat was stolden from me, turned over to them. they refused to give him back. they adopted him out lying and saying he was an owner turn in. the had him gone before they even notified his vet. i have his vet records and phone call records to prove all this. i am still searching for him. i should have called the cops right then and there . but i was in shock as i stood there crying as they put him out on the floor. the woman in charge is arrogant and ignorant. if the people who volunteer or try to adopt dont fit into her little click they are treated terribly. there is no accountability with this group. they are basicaly controlled by one person. i urge you to check them out in every aspect before thinking of dealing with this group. they put on a face for the public but are actually doing just as much harm as good. and if they are tresspasing on your PROPERTY AND TRAPPING AFTER BEING TOLD TO LEAVE they are breaking the law call the police..... its about time they are held acccountable for all their unproffessional and crinimal actions
Tried to adopt from them multiple times. Each time no one called me back or returned my calls about applications I turned in. It would have been nice to atleast tell me I can't adopt for whatever reason. I talked to them a few weekends ago when they were at petco and the 2 ladies I talked to did not answer my questions. They basically gave me a business card and "sent me on my way"
I have heard multiple stories of the volunteers talking bad about adopters and past volunteers. Will not attempt to adopt from them again!!!
I have known the pet paw see a couple of years, they seem to be a great rescue group on the outside, but they do like to talk bad about some people whether a person who put in an application or someone that had helped out in the past. They seem so sincere at the adoptions but they treat some people badly. I have known people that have volunteered and they treat them differently from other volunteers. Why? Well I would just ask the top person /people who run it because as far as I know they never told these people why they are treated differently/never had a sincere nice conversation with them, definitely a 380 from how they treat the public and put their show faces on. They practice and teache humane ways to treat animals and talk to kids in schools, well pet paw see why don't you try practicing being nicer to some of your volunteers and treat them the way they should be. I know a disabled person who used to volunteer who was treated badly because of this persons disabilities, well pet paw see why do you treat disabled like they are different than the rest of us, why do you have a bad stigma on them. I think pet paw see has some explaining to do.
No weekend goes by without Pet Paw-see's volunteers having an adoption event for the many cats and kittens -- and sometimes a dog or two -- that need homes. I've seen them go the extra mile in rescuing and providing veterinary care for injured animals, with good results. They make consistently fine presentations that attract the public, and they never fail to thank their supporters.
I first became acquainted with this organization a number of years ago. Lesley Raynes is the operator of this rescue that includes volunteers that all take animals home with them until they can find good homes for them. The animals are vetted and cared for. They help get pets fixed when people can not afford to do it. Pet Pawsee helped me to get two of my cats fixed. I was so appreciative of their help.
They are a very good non profit that cares deeply for the animals around them. They also have an adoption fair at the local Petco Store which helps place a number of homeless cats and dogs.
