Mission: Provides spay/neuter assistance to homeless pets and pets in need of re-homing, and financial assistance for qualifying families. Operates a foster/adoption program for homeless pets and those whose family must re-home a pet due to circumstances beyond their control. The pets are spayed or neutered, brought up to date on vaccinations, medically sound and available for adoption for a nominal fee. It has been proven that pets reduce stress and depression in humans.
Programs: In 2014, popp placed over 500 cats and dogs in forever homes and provided more than 800 spays/neuters in our community. Popp sponsors 4-5 major fundraisers throughout the year to encourage the public to foster and/or adopt, rather than "shop" for a pet.
total to date through 2014 consist of over 9,000 lives saved and 17,000 spay/neuter procedures. Popp is an all-volunteer/no kill organization. Spay/neuter clinics are held monthly.
