Causes: Economic Development, Education, Farmland Preservation, Food
Mission: Supporting farmers in their efforts to distribute healthy and nourishing food, promoting the use of renewable sources of energy and fostering communication among people working withing the permaculture community.
Programs: The focus of the permaculture guild is to continue working with the permaculture credit union (pcu) along with the nm farmers markets association to expand the micro loan program for farmers throughout new mexico. We are also working with permaculture teachers on a program similar to the farmer's micro loan program. We provide students enrolling in permaculture design course with financial aid in the form of a micro-loan. The loan is intended to assist with their costs associated in the enrollment of a design course. These loans will also be administered by the pcu.
