Mission: Performance Space 122 exists to support and present performing artists whose work challenges the traditional boundaries of dance, theater and music, often defying categorization. P.S. 122 is fully dedicated to finding, developing and bringing to the public eye new artistic creations from a diversity of cultures and points of view.

Programs: Commissioning:the cornerstone of performance space 122's artistic practice, thecomissioning process starts with the artist, not the project, ensuring the freedom and security necessary for creative risk-taking. Artists are provide with monetary support and the resources of the full administrative, marketing, fundraising, production and programming staff to realize their work. Ramp residency program:performance space 122 provides residency fees and space for several artists throughout the year. Residencies include providing the aritst with as muchtechnical support as possible to acheive each artist's goals for the creation of their work. Residencies conclude with a public showing. Global touring:as possible, and generally in alternate years, performance space 122produces global tours for artists whose work is either part of the current season or who have an ongoing relationship with ps122. International presenting partners, with a like-minded aesthetic are secured by ps122 to present the work and the touring is fully produced by ps122.
