As a member of the board of directors, it's important to me that an organization truly has a story that is compelling and is making a difference for our communities. As our baby boomers continue to age and needing support systems in place, many of them have to let go of their four legged family members who have been with them since puppies and have provided unconditional love year after year. Imagine the heartbreak of these four legged family members being separated from the love they've always known. Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary ensures that these amazing dedicated family members don't get lost in a system where they are left scared, alone or unloved. Instead they find a home where all their medical needs are met, where they are loved unconditionally and guaranteed to live out their lives with dignity and respect. I had the privilege of being introduced last year to Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary. It's a new facility designed to cater to senior dogs who are not eligible for adoption & often times are on the brink of being euthanized. What's wonderful about this organization is that they have even gone a step further by rescuing dogs that have serious ailments, regardless of age, due to serious neglect or abuse. The owners, staff & volunteers provide each dog with a steady stream of love, compassion & attention to their individual needs. It's incredible to watch so many of them transform from being fearful of humans, frail, or unloved to seeing them have a sparkle in their eyes and finding a new joy & peace with however many days they have left on this earth. It's a reminder that unconditional love & compassion can be truly life changing!

At Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary the name says it all: we are a place for senior dogs to relax, be safe, be loved and enjoy their good days, bad days and yes, last days. I am a Board member and so pleased to be a part of a team that makes a difference for more and more dogs. Our new sanctuary will be open soon and we can then provide a home for 50 more senior dogs. This will also free up space in other local shelters and rescues so that even more dogs have a chance at what they deserve: a kind, safe and loving home. There are so many unwanted senior dogs out there that need the care and love, which is given at Pepper's. I really identify with their mission to care for senior dogs. These guys get overlooked. The energy and love I feel from spending time and going on slow walks with a senior dog like Capt. Janeway just makes my heart melt. I am so grateful.

I attended Pepper’s Mutts and Models event where I learned more about their mission. I don’t know of another organization like this in Colorado that is creating a forever home for these special dogs. We watched a video of the founder explaining her vision at the event and I would encourage everyone to go to YouTube and it. This is an amazing Sanctuary!

I am honored to know the founders of PSDS. They have put their hearts and souls into building a sanctuary for unwanted, senior dogs, even taking in seniors with medical needs. Their state of the art facility that is being built will give these dogs everything they will need to live out the last years/days of their lives with dignity and feeling loved unconditionally. These dogs are rescues that become part the family, their lives have meaning at PSDS . I will forever support this non profit .

Our company believes very strongly in the mission of Pepper's. We have chosen for it to be a nonprofit we donate to because we know that they use every dollar to provide the best quality of life for senior dogs. We have had the honor of visiting the sanctuary and have seen firsthand how amazing Justin, Leigh, Mary, and the whole team are with their dog companions. Each animal receives quality medical care and genuine love. We look forward to seeing Pepper's grow and helping as many dogs as possible!

I serve on the board for Pepper's and when I tell you that this organization goes above and beyond for the animals in their care - I really know what I am talking about. I have the privilege of working in animal welfare outside of my position on the board and I see the difference an organization full of the people who run Pepper's can make in not just one - but many - dogs' lives. I'm honored to serve on the board and am so excited to see what Pepper's grows into!

I had the privilege of volunteering for the annual Mutts and Models fundraiser to benefit Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary. At this event, I was able to meet many of the residents at Pepper's and they were all incredible dogs with incredible survival stories. They all touched my heart and I was so thankful that when the event was finished they would be able to go back to a loving home - their home! The dogs are amazing and the people that love and care for all of them are truly such special people. I am thankful for this organization and the work it is doing to save, shelter, and love senior dogs.

A good friend of mine introduced me to Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary. I can't begin to say enough wonderful things about this organization. I had the opportunity to volunteer at an event where I interacted with the staff and the dogs. It was so beautiful seeing the bond between the staff and the dogs, their love for these animals was evident! It warms my heart so much to see kind people in the world who love and care about the well-being of animals. These dogs were so Happy and have such an Amazing place to live the remainder of their lives. I plan to volunteer and help this organization in the future and would highly recommend supporting this giving/caring organization, it is for a Great cause!

I heard about Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary through a friend and its mission to provide a haven for neglected senior dogs really touched my heart. I recently had a chance to volunteer with the group - I was so impressed with how clearly dedicated everyone is to the welfare and care of these special dogs and what an effort is being made to ensure all their needs are met. And the dogs are all amazing! I would highly recommend supporting this organization and its very special mission.

I first learned about Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary at my local farmer's market. They had a booth and one of their senior dog residents with them and he won my heart! I learned of their mission - to provide a forever home for senior and medically compromised dogs who have a high likelihood of being euthanized - and signed up to be a volunteer. They are building a state-of-the-art facility that will allow them to provide all the comforts that these pups deserve, as well as provide a wonderful doggie haven for volunteers. I can't wait for the building to be complete in the next couple of months!

The mission of this organization is great. Their unique model of providing a forever home to senior and special needs dogs is critically important, both in order to help relieve resources and space at shelters and rescues, and to provide end-of-life, compassionate care to dogs in need. Pepper's has a truly dedicated team of founders, leadership, staff, and volunteers who are making this happen. Their dogs are well-cared for, and experience the luxurious life they deserve.
