planetarium: the purpose of the peoria riverfront museum dome planetarium is to provide lifelong learning opportunities in a variety of stem disciplines, especially astronomy, physics, and engineering. The planetarium presents a variety of school and public programs throughout the year and strives to inspire the next generation of space explorers, scientists and artists. During the year ended 6/30/17, there were 39,429 visitors to the planetarium.
