Mission: To provide harm reduction services to those who need them.
Programs: The people's harm reduction alliance runs multiple syringe distribution sites located in washington state: king county, south everett, kitsap county, olympia and in portland, oregon as well. In 2017, we distributed 7,635,175 syringes along with 35,976 safer smoking kits in order to reduce people's risk of transmitting hiv and hepatitis c. All sites have an opiate overdose prevention component by providing narcan, a life-saving medicine that reduces opiate overdoses. In 2017, 6,073 narcan kits were provided with 1,272 confirmed reversals.
