I volunteer at People's Emergency Center and everyone is committed to helping the community combat homelessness and poverty. The Saturday food cupboard helps people satisfy a critical need while building and strengthening relationships.

This is one of my favorite non profit organizations in Philadelphia. They assist homeless women and children with getting back on their feet and reclaiming their independence. They offer much assistance in finding housing, education, jobs and much more. I recommend anyone to donate via United Way or by searching other ways to volunteer on their website at www.pec-cares.org
