youth in power: powers youth in power (yip) reaches out to youth in high schools and community centers, and use their own stories and experiences to develop a vision for bayview hunters point- and for the city- that can offer them and all people real opportunities for economic security and emotional and social growth.
leadership development: powers leadership development program brings together the members from all of the organizations membership spaces- the bayview organizing project, the women workers project and youth in power- to sharpen the members existing abilities to provide leadership. Through action, reflection, study and exposure, power members continue the life-long process of developing a critical consciousness as well as the ability to help cultivate the leadership of others.
