People for Animals has become an essential part of the community. There was a need for more affordable options for vaccinating and spay/neutering dogs and cats, especially stray cats. I attended a free vaccination event where we got two of our cats vaccinated. We left with free can food and treats that were an absolute blessing as we sometimes struggle to afford food. I have gotten all 3 of my cats fixed at this clinic and it is always an easy process. The workers are always friendly and understanding.

I have a total of five Cats three of five were strays one was pregnant I had eight in total with the Kittens at one point and I found them forever homes. It is very expensive overall to care for them, but I manage for the basic's food; shelter Love etc...
People for animals Inc made it very affordable to have my Cats spayed/neutered, Vaccinated, flea treatments and more. I really appreciate this place being around for those of us who love our pet family but struggle financially at times. I respect and honor People for Animals Inc because they treated my feline family with care and compassion! I will be forever grateful! Thank You All So Much!

Getting spay/neuter treatment for dogs can be so expensive, so it was an incredible help that I was able to get my dog spayed for such a low cost. I am really appreciative of the kind of support that People for Animals provides to pet owners who want to provide good lives for their animals, but might be inhibited by the high costs.

In March of this year I had an emergency surgery situation with my young female cat Ace. She was due to be spayed and Pyometra was discovered. It is life threatening. Most vets and animal hospitals I called wanted thousands of dollars to perform the surgery. I’m not set up to afford that and was very distressed about what to do. I called People For Animals and they were able to take us within a few days and charged me less then $500. Obviously all situations are different but I’m very grateful to the wonderful staff at PFA in Hillside, NJ. They also initiated wonderful follow ups with me for the 2 weeks after Ace’s surgery and even checked in 3 months later. Thank you!!!!

People For Animals is a PHENOMINAL organization, filled with Kind, Caring, and Knowledgeable Staff Members. I care for a colony of feral cats at my job and our TNR person put me in contact with PFA when my very special baby had a massive wound. They got her right in, cared for her for a few days since I did not even live close by to get her and take her back, and they kept me updated via email. (Turns out it was a self-inflicted wound from ear mitts.) I planned on making a donation based on the price , and when I picked up my baby, the price I paid for the 3 days of care was nothing in comparison to what I would have paid elsewhere, so in turn, I was able to donate more than I had intended to! (by the way, she never went back to the colony, I just couldn't do it .. she was a "loner" amongst the cats anyway .. I brought her home and she's been here with me ever since ... going on 3 years now!) -- I have NOTHING BUT RESPECT and APPRECIATION for PFA !!!

I do not even have enough words to say how grateful and appreciative I am for People for Animals. Without them I would be completely lost. Back in 2020 during the pandemic a stray pregnant cat had kittens in my backyard and because all the rescues were temporarily shut down I ended up taking in the whole family which left me with 7 cats, and I already had a dog! By the time the world was opening back up I was already very attached to all the cats and could not handle rehoming any so I decided to keep them all. Thanks to People for Animals and their affordable prices on vet care, I was able to manage this and here we are still one big happy family:) PFA has been a Godsend for me. Their staff is great and so helpful, the vets expertise is top notch. I've worked mostly with Dr Heeb who is wonderful and i just absolutely adore her. I am ever so grateful and I recommend PFA to everyone I know who has a pet! Thank you PFA for all the endless hours of dedication and for being such a wonderful establishment.

PFA enables us to help control the feral cat population in our neighborhood. They make it very affordable and easy to TNR (trap, neuter, and release) strays we are able to kindness trap. Besides their heavly discounted pricing for the neutering, shots, etc., they make the whole process convenient. The best example is that they understand that you never know when you'll catch the stray. So they require no appointments for strays, and allow you to bring the feral cat still in the trap, avoiding traumatic transfers, etc.

People are responsible for the domestication of animals to have as our companions, our loving pets. Having done this, it became our duty and responsibility to take care of them. That must include the ones that fall through the cracks – the strays, the ferals, the abandoned.

People for Animals recognizes this and offers affordable medical treatments and extremely helpful advice. They live up to their name. I had to trap a feral cat and her kittens, and they (and I) were treated with kindness, in spite of their spicyness. Thank you!

There is a saying that, “You cannot change the world by saving one cat, but you will change the world for that one cat”.

What people do at People for Animals is truly unique and kind. I have brought MANY feral cats to them to be spayed/neutered. They are the only place that is even willing to take care of them! Because of them, so many of them have gotten homes!
They genuinely care about the welfare of animals and make sure people can afford to take care of them. Health care for pets has become unreasonable and unaffordable for pet owners. Without this place, so many animals and their people would suffer. Thank you so very much to all you kind people who work there from the bottom of our hearts.

I am so happy I found people for animals. They saved my dogs life! She was suffering from pyometra and when I took her to a hospital I was told I needed to pay $18,000 ! With tears down my eyes a sweet doctor told me about people for animals and I immediately called them the next morning hoping my dog made it through the night. They answered right away and told me to bring her in asap. I went and waited for them to cal us back. Once surgery was done they returned her back to me healthier. They even went the extra mile in cleaning her teeth and cutting her nails. I am so grateful for them or else my dog would have passed or had to be put down all because I couldn’t afford a hospital. I have continued to bring my dogs to PFA after for vaccines and some other check ups and they have always been so kind and caring. Without them they wouldn’t be here.

I've used people for animals in the past, I have to say since technology has been incorporated into the process it's become an easier process with bringing my dog in. Checking in through the email and waiting for a text to bring my dog is so much better. My dog wasn't inside stressed or around other dogs that were stressed or aggressive acting. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was allowed to wait with my dog afterwards since she was still a little wobbly from the anesthesia, normal with large hounds. The vet that did her spay came over to check her and commented how sweet natured my dog was during her wait and surgical exam and prep. And in this economy you can't beat the price. I checked around with pricing, I was looking at close to a grand to spay and fix her umbilical hernia. Thank you pfa. I always will recommend you.

We got our first dog in 2005. When it came time to have her spayed, in 2006, my vet told me she would have to stay overnight and the cost would be over $400. I was raising my four children at the time and when I did a little research into low cost spay/neuter places, People for Animals popped up. We dropped her off in the morning, picked her up in the afternoon and paid a fraction of what my vet would have charged. We used People for Animals again in 2023 when our new pup needed to be spayed. Had another great experience. I would highly recommend to people who are looking for a reputable, low cost clinic.

I took my male kitten in on Dec 5th for his neutering. When I called from the parking lot to go in they said I wasn't on the schedule even though the mgr made the appt. They asked me to go in took a few minutes they said they found me. That should have been my first indication to leave. I left him for his surgery I was told to pick him up at 4. When I got there the person asked me if I got a phone callI said no they said that there was an issue with his blood but they did the surgery I had to wait until everyone left to talk to the Dr. if thts what you call him. Very cold person no empathy said that he was in kidney failure need to take him to a vet. I asked him why they performed the surgery he said because they already sedated him. I was told to wait 2 days for the medication to get out of his system. I didn't do that got him to a vet showed her all his paperwork she said that they should have never done the surgery with his blood count. The anastetic caused issues. He died on Dec 27th after visits to the vet and medications. Not only did I lose my kitten it also cost over $4,000. for his meds and visits The vet didn't charge me for everything they did. My feeling is run as far away from pfa if you want your animal. Sad part is after this happened I heard many horror stories about this place.

I had a new kitten and needed to get her shots and spayed. Unfortunately, I made several appts but had to cancel, until I could afford the extra expense. PFA, noticed the cancellations and I had to admit that the payment was an issue at that time. They offered to try and assist with charity care if possible, as I held on the phone in anticipation, I received the good news that they would be able to meet the financial need and the grant was given.!!! It was a true blessing. My cat is now 2.5 years old and doing well. The clinic did a fantastic job. The facility was clean and in order. All the doctors and staff was kind, considerate, caring and compasionate, and theytook great care of my kitten. The procedure went well.. After the procedure, they made sure to explain how to care for my cat. The next day, they called to follow up with a phone call to ensue everything was well and scheduled an appt to follow up . I appreciated how responsible they were to ensure her good welll-being. This will be the go to clinic for her are moving forward. We are so greatful for the assistance recieved. It would be helpful if food and pet supplies were given, thist would be great too, because she now eats all the time! We are forever greatful for the service receiced. THANK U SO MUCH. Their leadership is plugged-in, active, open minded, resourceful and tireless, qualities not surprisingly also evident in the entire team. After researching the prices to neuter her I found people for animals who had the lowest cost and decided to have her neutered there. She was picked up at a location closer to be and brought back at the end of the day. (She could have stayed but being a nurse I thought she would be fine coming home same day and she was).
It was a perfect surgery and she recovered well. She is now 9 yrs old ..I would absolutely use this vets office again !

I volunteered for People for Animals at one time and fostered a few dogs. It was hard giving them up but it was also nice because you could choose which family you felt was best for the dog you were taking care of. It was also nice when the families of the dogs kept in touch and PFA passed along the notes and letters of how they were doing.
One of the dogs I fostered became my dog for 8 years. She was a German shepherd mix named Yaka and she was beautiful, inside and out. She was thought to have been used as bate for dog fighting. Nevertheless, she became a great pet. She tolerated my two cats and learned to trust my young nephew.
When she was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy we gave her acupuncture treatment until it stopped working. She was the best dog. Thank you PFA for rescuing her.

I went to this place because I got a list from the agency that adopted my dog, and it said that it was cheaply neutered through a government subsidized program. However, since this is a place where only surgery is performed without any specialization, and there is no post care at all, please do not make it difficult for the dog you love to save money and find a specialized veterinary hospital near you.

My dog was neutered here, and two days later, he became infected, so he visited again and was prescribed antibiotics. However, after a few days, the infection got worse and the surgery site was eventually opened, and the PFA told me to go to another emergency hospital for this case. I tried to make an appointment for a re-check up 5 days after I went to the emergency, but they said they couldn't give him any special treatment because they don't do post care.
There was a problem after the operation and I wanted to check-up again, but the answer was too irresponsible.
I hope you don't spend too much time and money trying to save money and find a professional hospital.

People for Animals is an organization dedicated to the affordable care of dogs and cats. The Robbinsville office staff have been so supportive as we have feral and stray cats arrive "out of nowhere" at our farm or "dropped off" at the school across the street. We take care of these cats with shelter in our barn and with food and water for their entire lives. Now and then there is one with a tipped ear but mostly not.

Some mothers have been pregnant and when the kittens are of age then the staff is very helpful as we use our Havaheart trips to bring them in for neutering or spaying. We may have an appointment for 2 kittens or cats and then only one is trapped. Staff understands when that happens. The surgery and care is exceptional and we bring the cats home to a good life. Over time some of the strays become very friendly and even a feral male is happy to be with us now and greets us too in the morning.

We would be lost without People for Animals. I am one of many volunteer trappers in the area, doing our best to gather up ALL the community cats to get them healthy and neutered! PFA is essential to this process, because it's only possible because of low cost services: $55 per feral for neuter and vaccinations. They also make pet ownership much more feasible for so many people by offering VERY reasonable basic vet services, which helps people keep their pets and reduces the number abandoned to the streets. That's huge! Additionally they are real partners in that they go beyond neutering to advising on overall condition of each cat, even the feral ones, so that we can take more steps to get them in better shape to live out their lives. I appreciate their expertise and their humanity, especially with all the stress of so many animals coming in each day. Very compassionate and civilized people to deal with.

My regular vet wanted to charge me almost $1000 to get 2 vaccines for each of my 3 dogs; at PFA, my 3 dogs were able to be fully vaccinated (I think 3 vaccines each) AND each get a 3 month supply of flea/tick meds for under $400. I volunteer with a TNR organization and have also been rescueing independently for nearly a decade.
Without PFA's low cost spay/neuter for community cats, doing TNR on any scale would be impossible for most due to the high cost.
I'm extremely thankful for PFA's reduced alteration cost and wellness clinics which have enabled me to rescue, foster, and find homes for cats and kittens that I otherwise could not have. They have made it possible for me to say "yes", instead of"no" to cats in need.
If PFA did not exist, myself and those I work with would never have been able to help nearly as many cats as we have. Through their low cost spay/neuter and wellness services I have seen first hand the tremendous difference PFA has made. They have saved the lives of thousands of cats and prevented the suffering of countless more who would have been born only to know constant hunger, disease, and fear.

It took 4 months to get appt for a feral kitten I found. I was told it was $55. I thought it was great as I'm out of work. When I arrived I was told my cat isn't considered feral as he's been in my house for a year. Was then charged $95. The person I spoke to must have been new as every question I asked he had to go back into building to get answers. The worst part is that they didn't put E collar on my cat while he was under anesthesia. I took 2 people to put collar on once I got home and it still came off. I finally had to use duct tape as he fought so much. Ask that they apply collar before leaving facility!

I do TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Return) with community cats and PFA is the BEST to work with. They genuinely care and will work with street cats in traps. They are the kindest souls and these vets really know their stuff. They see it all and know how to work with tough situations.

I went to People for Animals when I was at wits end because another vet had misdiagnosed my cat(and soul mate), and they treated us like family. They gave me the correct diagnosis (which was CHF) and advised me that my body precious pet would pass away..they helped me with the cremation process with the utmost care and compassion..I would never go anywhere else.

I volunteered for an animal rescue group for 8 years. I brought many cats to People for Animals in Robbinsville to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated. All my experiences at People for Animals were good ones. The veterinarians and staff are all friendly and professional. It was very obvious that they care very much about the animals. I would recommend People for Animals without hesitation!

After one of my dogs was neutered I thought there was a problem, so they examined my dog after hours just to make sure he was okay.

I haven’t had a cat in a very long time, and a friend had kittens that were going to be taken to the shelter. I decided to take the plunge and I am now Bella’s mommy! It was the best decision that I made. The turning point in my deciding to keep Bella, was a recommendation from a friend who is a mommy of two kitties and a yorkie, she recommended People for Animals and assured me that her babies have all been there. She also told me about the staff and their love for all of the pets that come through. I was sold!!! I try to donate as much as I can, because of People for Animals, I was able to save my baby Bella!!!!! Bella received all of her shots and was spayed here... I would recommend to all!!!!

I love pfa! I started by getting my animals’ medical treatments there, at a greatly reduced cost from a regular vet. Then I started donating products like food and cat litter and soon I was volunteering to foster tiny kittens several times a year. What a great organization that does good for the community and makes me feel good being a part of it!

When all other veterinary services were charging well over $100 for neutering services, People for Animals offered them for far less. It was easy to make an appointment, and their staff was welcoming and efficient. During the pandemic, they continued to serve needy pets even when other veterinarian offices were closed. We have donated several times because of their community outreach and successful efforts in neutering wild cats throughout Northern New Jersey.

People for Animals is the bridge between good intentions and effective action!

My family has used PFA's spay/neuter and vaccination services (with transport!) for feral, rescue, and pet cats since 2016. It brings us such peace of mind to know that when a new cat comes onto the radar (as they sometimes do), we're able to quickly arrange essential care at both reasonable cost and tremendous convenience.

I am proud to support PFA!

People for Animals were my savior for my feral rescued cats from the streets of Paterson. They provided low cost spay/neuter services as well as clinic well care. Their fees allowed me to rescue nearly 30 feral cats to date. Some were TNR, some were adopted after time in my household. I would not have been able to afford veterinary care for so many cats if it weren’t for People for Animals. This organization is truly a blessing in helping the innocent animals who need our care.

I bring all of my trapped, feral cats to PFA. When I have heard horrow stories of spay and neuter of feral cats at other hospitals, I am thankful for PFA. I have never once had an issue with any cat fixed here. I also brought my two adopted dogs here for their spays and continue with their wellness exams/services. I appreciate that they are affordable and they offer high quality services. They also go above and the beyond- stitching up a massive injury for one feral cat, adding drains, and extra care for next to nothing. It's amazing what they have done.

Nothing to worry about, but to keep an eye on it & if it increases in size to have my veterinarian check it out. They showed me exactly where it was when I picked her up.
It did grow & my veterinarian drained it. Happy Healthy Poochie!!

I was the coordinator of the North Brunswick Humane Association's Community Cat Program from 2013 until this year. We have brought in hundreds and hundreds of feral cats to the People for Animals clinic in Robbinsville. PFA has also partnered with NBHA and two other TNR groups to sponsor free clinics for 50-75 cats in one day. Without their help, their dedicated staff, we would not have been able to accomplish so much. PFA also went above and beyond in helping us with injured cats. Mr. Bib was badly injured, pictured here. Their vet fixed him up and their community cat coordinated found a rescue to take him in. We are so grateful for their help and dedication. He is happy and in a forever home thanks to the help of People for Animals.

Over the past 10 years or so my wife and I have fostered many, many dogs prior to them finding their forever homes. More recently we have started fostering kittens from People for Animals. There are as many differences in fostering puppies versus kittens as there are similarities. What is the same, and I think the main point of fostering, is to help these young animals gain confidence around people and other animals as well as experience of living in a home. We've had so many kittens come to us from feral groups and not surprisingly they tend to be very scared and hand shy when they first arrive. Within a week or so however they start to realize people aren't so bad. Within another week or so, they discover the pleasure of laying on a person's lap and napping contentedly till they roll on to their back and bliss out. PFA's mission to support these animals and take them from feral communities on the street to give them a home and a family that will take care of them and love them forever is inspiring. You can't fail to see the benefit of helping give these animals a good start in life before going off to make some family love them. PFA makes that happen.

I work as a volunteer here since the summer and so happy to have made connections and help animals. Everyone from the office staff to the doctors are very helpful, down to earth and friendly. It makes working here enjoyable and fun all the while making a difference in the lives of animals. So glad I found PFA. Because of them I found new found joy after the loss of my cat Dusty by also taking on fostering. Thank you. I'd definitely recommend.
