It took 4 months to get appt for a feral kitten I found. I was told it was $55. I thought it was great as I'm out of work. When I arrived I was told my cat isn't considered feral as he's been in my house for a year. Was then charged $95. The person I spoke to must have been new as every question I asked he had to go back into building to get answers. The worst part is that they didn't put E collar on my cat while he was under anesthesia. I took 2 people to put collar on once I got home and it still came off. I finally had to use duct tape as he fought so much. Ask that they apply collar before leaving facility!
I do TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Return) with community cats and PFA is the BEST to work with. They genuinely care and will work with street cats in traps. They are the kindest souls and these vets really know their stuff. They see it all and know how to work with tough situations.
I am very pleased with the prices and service provided by this clinic. I am grateful with the professionalism and care that was shown to Ace as he was neutered yesterday. I will continue attending this clinic for WellCare as well . Keep up with the dedication and care for our fur babies...
I went to People for Animals when I was at wits end because another vet had misdiagnosed my cat(and soul mate), and they treated us like family. They gave me the correct diagnosis (which was CHF) and advised me that my body precious pet would pass away..they helped me with the cremation process with the utmost care and compassion..I would never go anywhere else.
This company was very helpful when my husband and I had no clue where to go to care for our new kitten! I found them and we were so glad to have brought our furry baby LILY!
Thank You for your service and support for our family.
People for Animals is always so helpful to our rescue group Darling Paws. I have complete confidence in the staff and the vets. I feel comfortable telling our adopters that I chose to take my own personal dogs there for Spays and neuters. The staff at Robbinsville and Hillside are amazing ! They are friendly and knowledgeable. We hope to see you all this Fall for more pups !!
I volunteered for an animal rescue group for 8 years. I brought many cats to People for Animals in Robbinsville to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated. All my experiences at People for Animals were good ones. The veterinarians and staff are all friendly and professional. It was very obvious that they care very much about the animals. I would recommend People for Animals without hesitation!
I have been overwhelmed with stray cats and their kittens lately, but with a simple phone call to "People for Animals", I was able to get assistance, from a very pleasant and helpful individual, with spaying and neutering these animals. I sent them a donation and requested to become a volunteer.
Brought our rescue 120 lb. Rottweiler in to be neutered. Office staff and doctor were amazing. They treated our big baby like their baby. So very caring.
People for Animals is a wonderful organization, they provide many services from spay/neuter to just shots, and they are great and carrying with animals. The Doctors are very informed and patient ready to answer any questions you might have about your pet. After one of my dogs was neutered I thought there was a problem, so they examined my dog after hours just to make sure he was okay.
I haven’t had a cat in a very long time, and a friend had kittens that were going to be taken to the shelter. I decided to take the plunge and I am now Bella’s mommy! It was the best decision that I made. The turning point in my deciding to keep Bella, was a recommendation from a friend who is a mommy of two kitties and a yorkie, she recommended People for Animals and assured me that her babies have all been there. She also told me about the staff and their love for all of the pets that come through. I was sold!!! I try to donate as much as I can, because of People for Animals, I was able to save my baby Bella!!!!! Bella received all of her shots and was spayed here... I would recommend to all!!!!
Everyone was so nice and helpful when I brought my dog to be neutered. I believe this place makes it possible for so many animals to have better quality of live.
My puppies have received exceptional care. The doctors give great advice and are very patient with the pups. The prices are very affordable and takes a great load off people with multiple pets to secure quality care. Thank you for all you do for our pets!
People For Animals Inc is the best place that my husband and I ever came across. They have a wonderfully helpful and very knowledgeable staff and they treated our cats with the sweetest love and care anyone could ever ask for for their pet. Now whenever someone asks us for a place to take their pets, we always recommend them. People For Animals Inc. are a true blessing come across.
Had most of dogs spayed with people for animals. The drs did a great job and very caring also . Would recommend them
To family and friends .
I love pfa! I started by getting my animals’ medical treatments there, at a greatly reduced cost from a regular vet. Then I started donating products like food and cat litter and soon I was volunteering to foster tiny kittens several times a year. What a great organization that does good for the community and makes me feel good being a part of it!
When all other veterinary services were charging well over $100 for neutering services, People for Animals offered them for far less. It was easy to make an appointment, and their staff was welcoming and efficient. During the pandemic, they continued to serve needy pets even when other veterinarian offices were closed. We have donated several times because of their community outreach and successful efforts in neutering wild cats throughout Northern New Jersey.
People for Animals is the bridge between good intentions and effective action!
My family has used PFA's spay/neuter and vaccination services (with transport!) for feral, rescue, and pet cats since 2016. It brings us such peace of mind to know that when a new cat comes onto the radar (as they sometimes do), we're able to quickly arrange essential care at both reasonable cost and tremendous convenience.
I am proud to support PFA!
They do great work in the communities they serve. They provide low cost medical treatment to ensure that folks that cannot afford the typical private vet bill can still provide their pets with the much needed care to keep them healthy and happy.
Several years ago 2 cats had litters in my back yard about the same time. Total of 13 cats at the same time. Called several organizations who when I said this wasn’t for a donation but for help ,couldn’t wait to hang up the phone. PFA was the only organization that helped me TNR . The volunteers were wonderful.
Have been a supporter ever since.
When e had to put our cat down, they where very caring, the woman behind the front desk even came out to us as we where leaving and crying, she gave us a hug.í ¾í´— They even sent us a sympathy card. Very very nice and caring staff.
25 years ago, when we were a young struggling family, we had our dog spayed (low cost) at People for animals. They do great, important work and we’re glad to be in a position now to donate so they can continue their mission of providing affordable vet services.
People for Animals were my savior for my feral rescued cats from the streets of Paterson. They provided low cost spay/neuter services as well as clinic well care. Their fees allowed me to rescue nearly 30 feral cats to date. Some were TNR, some were adopted after time in my household. I would not have been able to afford veterinary care for so many cats if it weren’t for People for Animals. This organization is truly a blessing in helping the innocent animals who need our care.
We brought our puppy, Daisy to PFA to have her spayed. We were so impressed with the care that she received. Everyone was so nice. We had to bring her back the following week and we saw a wonderful veterinarian who was so kind and caring. We had a very good experience at PFA.
I bring all of my trapped, feral cats to PFA. When I have heard horrow stories of spay and neuter of feral cats at other hospitals, I am thankful for PFA. I have never once had an issue with any cat fixed here. I also brought my two adopted dogs here for their spays and continue with their wellness exams/services. I appreciate that they are affordable and they offer high quality services. They also go above and the beyond- stitching up a massive injury for one feral cat, adding drains, and extra care for next to nothing. It's amazing what they have done.

Amazing, you should see their incisions. They are way better than any spay I have done at a regular vet. Very Small, no issues. This is just one thing that they do that is wonderful. They have helped the local feral cat populations immensely with their grants and they have helped people with low cost care. And helped people like myself afford to TNR and foster kittens.
PFA has helped us spay and neuter so many ferals. One female we trapped turned out to have only 3 legs ... while she hissed in the trap, at PFA she blossomed and turned out to be friendly. They helped find her a loving home!
People for Animals is amazing. I take both my dogs there for well visits and nail trimming. I have also had both of my dogs fixed here and received the best quality care. The staff in Robbinsville are wonderful and I trust their expertise 100%. I also support this facility and buy my pet products online through them. most important is receiving quality care for my furbabies but it is also nice to receive high quality care at a fraction of the price compared to the vet offices.
I adopted my dog Peanut, a Shi Tzu from People For Animals. A great organization. Easy to talk to and very helpful! Highly recommend!
As the only similar provider in our area, they do a tremendously important job in helping protect our pets and provide affordable veterinary care!
I have used People for Animals for a few years. One of my dogs was neutered there. Both of my dogs get their routine shots, nail trim there. In 2019 I had to make a difficult decision to transition my 15.5 year old boxer/lab mix Princess Ginger over the Rainbow Bridge. It was an incredibly painful decision but the staff was so professional and caring. Dr Karen could see I was so upset that she comforted me. That meant a lot. For routine care I will not go anywhere else.
My little dog Nina was well taken care of with a complete recovery no issues at all after being Spay and chipped. Nina is a Chipin. This took place around three yrs ago
People for Animals helped in trapping a feral cat with compassion. Chase was neutered by PFA and now has a wonderful indoor life.
Spaying and neutering cats and dogs prevents a lot of heartache for people that pick up the pieces.
I brought in a feral, scrufty, tick infested tomcat with an eye infection to be neutered. While he was sedated for his neuter, the staff kindly treated his eyes and picked all the ticks off of him! They also gave him a long-acting antibiotic and a 3-month tick repellant. They obviously care about the animals and want them to get a new lease on life! Thanks sooooo much PFA!
Love this place, the vet there is amazing. Dr. Heeb (~sp) is the best. I've had all my routine vaccinations, spaying, and neutering done here
Everyone is so helpful & kind. They went the extra mile to call me during my dogs procedure (spayed) to notify me that she had a very small lump on her belly. Nothing to worry about, but to keep an eye on it & if it increases in size to have my veterinarian check it out. They showed me exactly where it was when I picked her up.
It did grow & my veterinarian drained it. Happy Healthy Poochie!!
Thank You PFA Inc.
This non profit help to make spay or neuter affordable for pet owners who other wise may not afford to do it in a timely manner. Helping to control unwanted pet births. Ever dealing I have had with them is full of compaction and carring. There work has great value to the whole community and is so full of kindness and humanity.
My Newfoundland was spayed by People for Animals and it was a great experience from start to finish. They were so professional and caring. The process was very organized and we were so impressed with this non-profit organization. I would recommend them to anyone who has a pet.
I found out about People for animals 9 years ago. I found this organization to be very caring and compassionate. I am thrilled to see the strides they have made.
This group understands, overpopulation is the root problem, causesing unwanted, homeless pets. They helped us with the spayng of our rescue cat, as well as, helping us with a difficult neuter issue with our dog. They provided excellent and compassionate care.
They are so caring and they took great care of both of my cats when it was time to get them fixed. Each person who works there is incredibly sweet and you can tell that they are true animal lovers.
I was the coordinator of the North Brunswick Humane Association's Community Cat Program from 2013 until this year. We have brought in hundreds and hundreds of feral cats to the People for Animals clinic in Robbinsville. PFA has also partnered with NBHA and two other TNR groups to sponsor free clinics for 50-75 cats in one day. Without their help, their dedicated staff, we would not have been able to accomplish so much. PFA also went above and beyond in helping us with injured cats. Mr. Bib was badly injured, pictured here. Their vet fixed him up and their community cat coordinated found a rescue to take him in. We are so grateful for their help and dedication. He is happy and in a forever home thanks to the help of People for Animals.
I would never have been able to help people in my town with TNR without PFA Hillside's help and low prices. They even helped me bring 8 cages to my car during their busy pick-up time and worked with me to get the job done without missing a day of work. Love them
I have adopted two cats over the years from People for Animals, and that is great. However, the best part of PFA's work is in providing low cost spaying and neutering services for cats and dogs. I have been in their clinic and am so impressed with the dedication the staff has shown in reducing the overwhelming problem of pet over-population and homelessness.
People for Animals is great. I took in a kitten many years ago and needed to have the cat spayed.
I used People for Animals services and was able to get my cat spayed at a very affordable price. Everything went well and I enjoyed my Muffy for many years.
While the waiting process can be a bit stressful and long, it's worth it. The surgeons did an excellent job with my puppy's spay procedure. When we went back for a re-check the next day, the doctors and other workers were so friendly and nice! So were the people at the front desk.
I've been a long-time supporter and advocate for PFA but have recently started volunteering with them. I was so impressed with how efficient and productive they are! The entire facility is streamlined and employees are friendly and warm. They've been doing such amazing work for years but it's good to see where my donations have gone. I'm so happy they've been a valuable resource for so many in the area.
Over the past 10 years or so my wife and I have fostered many, many dogs prior to them finding their forever homes. More recently we have started fostering kittens from People for Animals. There are as many differences in fostering puppies versus kittens as there are similarities. What is the same, and I think the main point of fostering, is to help these young animals gain confidence around people and other animals as well as experience of living in a home. We've had so many kittens come to us from feral groups and not surprisingly they tend to be very scared and hand shy when they first arrive. Within a week or so however they start to realize people aren't so bad. Within another week or so, they discover the pleasure of laying on a person's lap and napping contentedly till they roll on to their back and bliss out. PFA's mission to support these animals and take them from feral communities on the street to give them a home and a family that will take care of them and love them forever is inspiring. You can't fail to see the benefit of helping give these animals a good start in life before going off to make some family love them. PFA makes that happen.
I volunteered one day to help cat and dog owners know how to care for their pets after they were spayed or neutered. The vet, technicians and assistants were all very professional and caring in their approach to the animals. The assistant who spoke with the clients was compassionate and kind when discussing how to care for their pet. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and caring.
I found PFA Hillside through Volunteer Match.com. I was out of work and looking to spend my spare time helping the community and animals. That's when I found PFA. I love the fact they are a low cost spay/nueter clinic service g the community. So many folks need these services. I work as a volunteer here since the summer and so happy to have made connections and help animals. Everyone from the office staff to the doctors are very helpful, down to earth and friendly. It makes working here enjoyable and fun all the while making a difference in the lives of animals. So glad I found PFA. Because of them I found new found joy after the loss of my cat Dusty by also taking on fostering. Thank you. I'd definitely recommend.
