Mission: Feeding pennsylvania is the partner state association of feeding america food banks. It is our mission to promote and aid our members in securing food and other resources to reduce hunger and food insecurity for their communities and across pennsylvania, and to provide a shared voice on the issues of hunger and food access within the commonwealth of pennsylvania.
Programs: Mid-atlantic regional cooperative (marc) - the marc is a member-led produce cooperative initiated through feeding america grant dollars. A taskforce was formed and consultants were hired to develop a business plan to serve a potential 42 food banks in the mid-atlantic region by sourcing, mixing, and distributing a variety of high quality, low cost produce to member food banks that serve families in need.
fill a glass with hope - our members are all certified by the pa milk marketing board as charitable milk subdealers, allowing them to purchase milk from local dairies. Through fundraising and marketing, and in partnership with the dairy industry, we support members in accessing fresh milk for distiribution.
advocate: feeding pennsylvania provides a strong, collective voice for hunger-relief across the state. We advocate for federal and state policies, programs, and initiatives to improve food access and relieve hunger.
disaster relief: feeding pennsylvania's members work in response to disasters in cooperation with the feeding america network as well as within the commonwealth in collaboration with state agencies where food resources are needed.
